About this listen

They have come....

The skies over major cities all around the world have grown dark. Massive crafts from space block the sun, and the inhabitants of these ships want Earth for their own. They have made their demands, and they're more frightening than anyone could have ever imagined.

They are the Oppressors. They'll test every last human and send the victors to a new planet to begin again, never to see their friends or loved ones. But only a small percentage of Earth's inhabitants can go.

Chaos ensues. Children are pulled from their parents, terrified and screaming for their lives. Many of the weak are killed outright. If humans try to hide, they're wiped out without a second thought or even a drop of compassion. The vulnerable humans watch their own destruction with dismay and disbelief.

Josh works at the Pentagon writing code, and his newfound love is Kamryn, a brilliant computer hacker. Now, her genius and his skill are the last hopes for the people of Earth. But what will their solution cost them, and what will it cost their love?

Overtaken: Captive States is a science-fiction and romance thriller. Human-like aliens arrive with the intention of taking over the planet for their own habitation. They intend to rid the world of humans and have devised a method of determining who'll live to see another day and who will die, not worthy of life. The aliens are technologically advanced, and Earth's powers cannot seem to figure out a way to victoriously thwart the plans of these aliens known as the Oppressors.

Good. Not worth a Credit but Interesting if Stream

Enjoyed the sci-fi. I liked the heroine and the main guy. It needed more detail on the other characters. Mostly plot driven. We no little about any of the other two characters. It lacked detail on the test and what others were experiencing across the world. I was annoyed by the readers accent it didn't for the story. Need a better narrator.

I warned you.

We don't know how many humans survive what life is like on the other planet. How many men and women (even numbers or disballanced). What happened back on Earth after it all went down.

Interesting alien invasion

I had a bit of trouble getting into the story but once I did it was fun. I found the reader tedious in the beginning but she grew on me.

very good!

I loved this book. I have audible escape and it was included so I gave it a whirl and I'm so happy I did. There is some Tech talk and I know that turned some off, but I thought it made for a richer story. I'll be looking for the second one.

Don't do it!!

I'd recommend watching paint dry before this audio book.

The story is written at the middle school level, simplistic and frankly rediculous.

The three episodes of soft core porn are wildly out of place in a Syfy book.

The narration was even worse.

Save your money.

Narrator difficult with American Characters

I started this, but I confess I lost interest. The narrator just can't do American accents, and doesn't really try. The writing hops all over the place between multiple characters. I may try it again, but it felt low budget and not well done to me.
