Publisher's summary

A few months after escaping the coven that drained my magic, life is golden. My little sister Maddie is safe and happy. I have my pack. I'm in love.

But nothing gold can stay...

Maddie's violent, dangerous birth pack wants her back.

My four men and I face dozens of wolves, intent on taking my little sister by force. If we keep fighting, my pack will be destroyed all over again.

There's only one sacrifice I can make to end this pack war. Myself.

But you know me. I won't let that be the end of my story.

Contains mature themes.

Pack War

Such a great book and perfect narration. I love Piper and her men. I’m so excited to see what happens to them next.

Interesting

*Partial spoilers*
So this book definitely has a lot more sexual scenes than the first however they are not very graphic. Also I am kinda caught on the fact that she loses her virginity like it's nothing and then the morning after asks to be with 2 of them at a time like it's normal for her. This bugs me for the fact she lived a very sheltered life and only recently had her first kiss. I am all for ramping stuff up but you got to make it believable. She went from first kiss to wanting to have sex with everyone all the time.
This kinda ruined all the sexual scenes for me because they all just seems unrealistic with this story.
The story itself is still very good just wish the author had handled the ramp up differently to make it more believable. If this won't bug you then definitely worth continuing. If you are like me that wants to get lost in a story and needs some level of believability, this may not be your favorite

Intricate story is great, some flow issues though

I didnt see a lot of the twists in book 2 coming, which is always fun, and I thought the majority of book 2 was great. In book 2 we get to see Piper and her pack bond and grow in strength, just to have it rip out from under them. Piper plays a martyr but then ends up finding more than she bargained for with the other pack. Won't give anything away, but I loved seeing Piper with the different guys in the 2nd pack, they are drastically different than the guys from book 1. The fight with the witches is far from over, they won't stop til they get to Piper and/or Maddie, and they don't care how many wolves or humans die in the process of getting essentially their power battery haha. Loved all the new guys, they each are traumatized, each bring something different to the table, in addition with the guys from the original pack. So much steam and adorable moments despite the plot being tense and some tough moments to overcome.

For me, some things with the flow didnt match what was done in book. I thought it was well planned out, flow was fab, and we had enough detail and explanation that it wasn't overwhelming or not enough. It was just right. Book 2 unfortunately had some scenes that made my head spin because I was confused how they got to that position and had to rewind my audiobook many times to make sure I didnt miss something. I think an example is with Logan. Like in one moment he is being flirty, they seem to be going in the right direction and then its mentioned he stopped talking to her for a couple days and she is pissed and he growls and yells at her. Like I don't know if that was to keep up a charade, but I was confused why he starting acting that way and why Piper was overreacting. Also, how quickly Piper started going all hot and heavy with the guys from the 1st pack, seemed too soon. She went from kissing to going all the way real quick. If it was because of the mating/pack bond, it needed to be explained more.

Narration gets the same comments I gave for book 1 that the female narrator was fabulous, love her work. The male narrator needs to be less breathy, it takes away from the performance. Overall they do a great job with all the distinguishing inflections and tones for the different guys and situations. I already started book 3, the build-up is fantastic in terms of the plot. Book 3 is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥

Wow, what an interesting twist?

Not only does Piper have talon, Josh, Kai, and Nick for me. Now we see her with four additional mates Arthur, Logan, Finn and Sebastian! What an adventure in this trilogy.

SO CHILDISH.... IS THIS YA....FMC IS TSTL

How is a NEWLY sexually active person, who just had her first kiss, so ready for all of these multiple lover experiences??! Raised not to have sex or swear??? & She's so immature, she literally said "takes one to know one" SERIOUSLY?!? Then she always makes some snarky, stupid comment!! Also she seems to believe that she can have any and all men that she wants! I can't stand when she gives ppl " a look"..... I JUST CAN'T!..... She never wants anyone to feel that she's weak, but she does dumbass things to try and prove the "she could carry her weight " she has an inability to listen to those who know better.... she wants peace and no one to fight even when she knows in order to stay safe there has to be a fight. she says don't fight, can't we just kiss and make up?..... Its like listening to a high-school drama with adult sexual innuendos thrown in..... Not for me🙄

Pack war

After 3 to four guys it just becomes too much. The storyline with her first pack has not even developed well before more men are thrown in. I wish they would have stayed with the original crew
