Well written and well narrated... A new SEAL story

Ms Hamilton gives us a new perspective on our favorite SEAL's storyline. This novel brings us a retired SEAL, Sean Harper. A man whose made the transition from elite warrior to NY Investment broker. By all measures he's doing well, successful career, full and satisfying social life (even though he's got the model ex). He's made it in New York, that in and of itself a big accomplishment. But something's missing and Sean doesn't really realize it until an old Navy buddy sends him a new client.
Things take on a life of their own when a few days later the new client ends up dead in California. Now Sean must wrap up the man's estate while getting deeper than he ever expected with the client's personal business and secrets.
This is another great read from Ms Hamilton. Don't miss it!

Even with law enforcement's assertions that he was a pot farmer, Sean cannot stop thinking about the island and "mermaid" left behind. Searching for answers with the help of his friend, Sean sets off on a journey beyond his wildest dreams.

Dreaming of Paradise

Sean Harper has retired from the Navy SEAL’s and now works as an investment broker. A client of his tells him he’s found paradise and a beautiful island girl to go with it. When tragedy befalls the client Sean goes looking for answers and the mysterious beauty his client spoke of who has captured his imagination.

Paradise is more mystery than romance and the romance in this book is almost entirely in Sean’s head. That not necessarily a bad thing I just found the pay off at the end somewhat lackluster.

JD Hart narrates and does an awesome job as usual. I did find the musical background during Sean’s dreams to be distracting and I wasn’t a fan of it. Overall I found Paradise a unique and entertaining story. For author Sharon Hamilton this book steps outside her usual mode of storytelling.

A story of intrige and romance!

Sean Harper is a retired SEAL, making a name for himself as an investment broker. One of his clients draws him in with stories of paradise in the Caribbean, and then is later murdered. After Sean starts to try and find the woman that his client left everything too, the mystery starts to get deeper and more dangerous.
I love all of Sharon Hamiltons SEAL novels, but this one is definitly more of a mystery than romance. my only issue with it was how many "love scenes" Sean had in his fantasy world, with a woman he hasn't met. I'm the kind of reader that like the build-up between the characters, and then enjoy when they finally get together. It takes about 3/4 of the book to actually get things going to where I couldn't stop reading.

Disappointing

I'm a huge fan of Sharon Hamilton. Love her books but I found this book to drag on. I, found no plot. Found myself speeding up the speed just to get it over. You can count on 1 hand how many books I, did not finish I, almost added this one. Love the narrator.
