About this listen

Twenty creepy chapters to leave you craving more, from author Eve S. Evans and R. Harrell.

Hotels are a place that some people frequent. Business trips, conferences, getaways, and vacations. But these people have stories to share from their experiences at hotels that weren't quite what they expected.... As one patron has advised after a terrifying experience, if you are going to an unfamiliar area, ask about the history of the place before you stay there. You'll hear about a business trip with an unexpected ghostly twist and many others. Some hotel employees as well as patrons recount numerous terrifying paranormal experiences in haunted hotels.

Having loved the First Responders series, “Haunted Objects,” and other books in this series, I was very disappointed by this book. It’s full of boring, less than credible, and unnecessarily violent stories full of tired literary cliches. The character names sound like they are from romance novels or soap operas. The last book I read of theirs had some good stories and some, not so good. This time, I could hardly get through it. I did not expect this from the same people who compiled what I wrote was the first great scary story audiobook I’d found, since the Scary Stories trilogy, and a few other excellent books. I sure hope this is not a trend of declining quality, like I’ve seen with other series’. I will be more inclined to try a book by a new author than to buy another book from this collection. I will check out another book from this series at the library, or if nothing else interests me at the time. Hopefully, they will find some good stories again.

Not as good as previous anthologies in this series
