Every character had a recognizable and distinct voice and accent. Lovely storytelling! I am looking forward to listening to more.

Narrator is a new favourite for me

After finishing the Septimus Heap series, I was excited to start the PathFinder series. The story itself was good, but after listening to Gerard Doyle, I was slightly disappointed with the narrator on this story. Though she was good and the story was from a young girls point of view, I still feel it would have been good listening to Gerard Doyle narrate.

The narrator isn’t as good as the one they had for the Septimus Heap series. I know why they changed it to a female narrator but she’s not that great. She only changes the tone of her voice rarely the accent when doing characters. Additionally, she often calls Marcia “Marsha” which I find annoying.

I 100% recommend this book. just an amazing author in general. I have not read the main series of this book but still amazing.

I really love this book. The narrator is way better than the they use for Septimus Heap Books 2-7. But the narrator could’ve been better. Thank you Audible.
