About this listen
He’s inherited every English boy’s dream car. But to hold on to it, he’ll have to get his hands dirty.
Eric Sibley loves his upscale job and the good life it provides. So when the corporate climber inherits his father’s Aston Martin DB4, he’s excited to drive his wife and daughter around in style. But he’s shocked to discover he can only have the flashy auto if he agrees to get a little mud on his polished shoes.
Confined to the will’s strict guidelines, he has no choice but to venture far from his London office and keep his father’s community veggie patch growing. But his hare-brained shortcuts to worm his way out of the obligation only dig him deeper into trouble with his worried wife and the meddling rural greenthumbs.
Has Eric spoiled his stake in the allotment and ruined everything, or will his failed schemes reveal the very thing that matters most?
Peas, Carrots and an Aston Martin is a heart-warming novel from the Peas and Carrots humorous fiction series. If you like crazy capers, quirky characters, and brilliant second chances, then you’ll love Kindle Storyteller Award winner Hannah Lynn’s madcap tale.

I touched her confectionary creation, and she told me off. Slapping my hands and cursing in her own unique fashion. No one talked to me that way. I liked it. I liked her cake even more. So, I took her to Italy to bake for me. I should have asked her first, but I had a feeling she'd say no. But I brought her cat, so that should count for something.

Story
Beloved author Elizabeth Gilbert returns to fiction with a unique love story set in the New York City theater world during the 1940s. Told from the perspective of an older woman as she looks back on her youth with both pleasure and regret (but mostly pleasure), City of Girls explores themes of female sexuality and promiscuity, as well as the idiosyncrasies of true love. In 1940, nineteen-year-old Vivian Morris has just been kicked out of Vassar College, owing to her lackluster freshman-year performance.

Sixteen-year-old Frankie Budge—aspiring writer, indifferent student, offbeat loner—is determined to make it through yet another summer in Coalfield, Tennessee, when she meets Zeke, a talented artist who has just moved into his grandmother’s house and who is as awkward as Frankie is. Romantic and creative sparks begin to fly, and when the two jointly make an unsigned poster, shot through with an enigmatic phrase, it becomes unforgettable to anyone who sees it. The edge is a shantytown filled with gold seekers. We are fugitives, and the law is skinny with hunger for us.

Adorably Funny and Witty! Loved it.
This totally reminded me of Confessions of a Shopaholic. The humor was spot on. It was so well written and i love the narrator. Nailed It! I've listened to other narrators with British Accents and I spent more time trying to mentally translate into English (American English) and finally just gave up, but this man was perfect. Well done!

Gardening, family and a car what better combo!
The author as well as the narrator work together to bring a wonderful picture of the characters out in this book as well as the settings. As you are listening you can just imagine how Eric can get into so much of a mess in the allotments and at the same time it is such a wonderful thing that he does as it is a real changing point in the story. You also will love that Suzy is a go for it type of woman, and sweet funny Abbey. Then there are Christine and Janice, Norman and and Hank, and we cannot forgot Lydia and Thomas with their boys. . . these are all wonderful characters you will meet in the journey of the Peas, Carrots and an Aston Martin Book 1 and I am looking forward to seeing what happens in Book 2 and with all the characters and the Aston Martin Sally, and the bunch at the allotments! I loved it and I am sure you will too it is a wonderful story that is woven around a son who has grown into an adult with a family of his own, a father who has grown old and remembering that son, and a car they both loved, and what happens when they no longer find common ground over the years and then one is no longer around! Enjoy! It is about family!

Did not finish
I figured it was only fair to state that I did not finish this up front. I am sure the story was wonderful, all of the other reviews say it is. I listened for a little over two hours and just could not get into it. I had no sympathy for the mail character and didn't care what he did or what happened to him. Maybe I should have stuck it out, but I didn't. There are way too many other books in the sea!
I enjoyed the narrator though! I would listen to this narrator again.

True family dynamics with a touch of humor
Beautifully written story about true family dynamics with a big touch of humor. I loved all the characters and how they interact with one another. The storyline is absolutely believable. I was hooked on this book within the first five minutes. This book kept me on the edge f my seat I just had to know how it was going to end. I highly recommend this book if you love drama, humor and a touch of reality. I can already tell that this series is a do not miss read/listen. I received this book at my request and I am glad I did. Eric's Adventure
Peas, Carrots and an Aston Martin (The Peas and Carrots Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
by Hannah Lynn
An interesting and entertaining listen. What happens when a workaholic inherits a car from his estranged father, he finds a big condition on keeping it. This kept me listening to find out what was next in his adventure. I really liked the humor in this book. I will look for the next book in the series.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Rafe Beckley was perfect for this book.
