About this listen

The author of Flirting with Scandal presents her second book in a sexy contemporary romance series about three sisters in a powerful political family, the scandals that threaten to destroy them, and the passion that drives them....

The daughter of one of the Senate's most powerful figures, Blair Reynolds was ready to become the ultimate political wife - until she caught her fiance cheating on her wedding day. Law school is a fresh start, her shot at putting the pieces of her life back together. That's the plan, at least. Until trouble comes in the form of her Torts professor, the man whose arrogance infuriates her in class but haunts her private fantasies.

Graydon Canter had a fortune and a place on all the hottest "30 under 30" lists, until a series of personal missteps nearly destroyed his career. A year teaching at a DC law school is just the break he needs to get his life back in order, as long as nothing - and no one - trips him up.

When Blair and Gray are forced to work together, their explosive attraction becomes impossible to resist. But Gray's demons have drawn him dangerously close to the edge, and Blair has spent her life playing by the rules. Will she break them for a shot at love?

Great distraction

Enjoyed the story line. The characters were very lovable. I recommend this book, very enjoyable.

Great Storyline, too pervy

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not interested in reading/listening to porn (or watching it, but that's irrelevant) I feel in love with Chanel Cleetons writing style through her books about the Perez family from Cuba. So I decided to try out this series. I love the storyline and the narrators, but the sexual "scenes" are just too much for me. The first book wasn't as much, but this one is totally saturated with some lasting for an entire chapter. I have started fast forwarding through them, as they don't add anything to the story, other than making me feel dirty and gross while sitting in the car pick up line at my child's school. Not sure that I will finish the seriy, by listening to the final book.
Also, I wish different narrators were used in each book, as I associate the voices with the characters from the first one, making it difficult to transition to the following books. Again, could just be me that is bothered by that.

Absolute Garbage

It’s amazing that such a talented writer (see “Next Year In Havana”) would allow something like this to be sold under her name. It’s just trash in an effort to make a buck. Yuck.
