Publisher's summary

Hudson Higgins had fond memories of Boggy Creek from his childhood. So what better place to escape New York City for a few weeks to finish up a book that was nearing deadline than the small town in New Hampshire his parents visited nearly every summer.

What he couldn’t have known was how his life would be turned upside down when he walked into Greer Larson’s bookstore his first day in town.

Greer Larson lived a quiet life in her hometown of Boggy Creek. She had worked nearly her whole adult life to make her dreams of owning her bookstore come true - and now, Turning Pages was her everything. She lived, eat, and breathed the success of owning her own business.

That is, until a stranger came to town and showed Greer that there was more to life than simply working. A friendship between Greer and Hudson quickly formed over their love of books and the outdoors.

When Greer’s bookstore is threatened, Hudson soon realizes he hasn’t simply fallen for the charm of Boggy Creek and Greer, he’d fallen in love...with both the town and the woman who stole his heart from the moment she first smiled at him.

Playing with Words is book two in the Boggy Creek Valley series and is a stand-alone novel.

Heartfelt, Sweet and Steamy Romance!

I loved this sweet and swoony romance! Greer and Hudson's story takes place in a small town filled with quirky characters who are in everyone's business but are ultimately loving and supportive. Greer has always loved books, and has worked hard to make her book store a success. When sexy author, Hudson comes to town and enters her store, Greer is hilariously tongue tied. Hudson things it's endearing and they are both instantly attracted to each other. Hudson is in town to try and get over his writers block. He is inspired by the community, and Greer, and wants to find ways to spend time with her when he isn't writing. They are so cute together, having the same interests, and their chemistry is explosive. Their story is fun and sweet and has just enough twists with a little drama that makes this a heartwarming and addictive listen. I also really loved all the supportive and quirky family and friends who made this story even more entertaining and authentic.
Laurie West, and Christian Black did a great job narrating this delightful story and bringing it to life. I loved their humor, and their easy ability to make this awkward and emotional story feel real and authentic. They helped make this heartfelt, sweet & steamy romance even more entertaining!

Kelly Elliot Does Not Disappoint 5*****

I loved this book! Kelly Elliot writes such charming stories with fun characters and with Playing With Words she's done it again another amazing story that I just can't get enough of. I'm totally hooked I can't wait for book 3 in this series. I highly recommend this I dare you to not fall in love with Greer Turning Pages book store owner and suspense writer Hudson as they meet and get to know each other and all all their family and friends . This is heartwarming and a HEA that can be read as a standalone or as a series. Shout out to the narrator's this was nicely. preformed. As a after thought I loved how the characters played pick up sticks lol just awesome!

I throughly enjoyed this! Its filled with laughs and love!

Simply adorable! Its so easy to fall in love with the characters. The author does a good job of making me want to live in Boggy Creek! Meeting all the townsfolk and following the story of Greer and Hudson was a dream. They both are ideal characters for a book lover. She owns a bookstore and he is a best selling author. They are meant to be together….Right? If thats not enough to entice you the secondary characters are full of antics that made me laugh. Family dinners with games? I have never played games like this family but I could laugh at their style.

I did listen to this on audio. Laurie West and Christian Black are both new to me. They did a great job! I would listen to this and them over again

Perfect Match

An author and a book store owner. Match made in heaven! So much sweetness in this story, but don’t let it fool you. There’s also plenty of steam. Low angst made this a great listen. I didn’t fall in love with the male narrator, but it didn’t take away from the story. Great family dynamics that you couldn’t help fall in love with.
