Publisher's summary

It's time to cut the crap!

Do you want to listen to a long book on self-publishing or would you prefer an audiobook packed with knowledge, compiled in a short, succinct fashion?

Instead of writing a lengthy book full of stuff and fluff, I have put together a compilation of real, actionable examples of things you can start to implement today to actually help get real honest reviews on your published books!

I have self-published over 30 books in numerous niches and the one thing that holds true regardless of the category is that every author wants to get more book reviews for their books.

But just because you may have written a novel, doesn't mean you want to listen to one.

My mentality is simple...the more time you spend listening, the less time you're spending on publishing your books!

So I've made this book short, sweet, and to the point!

So enough of this sales crap...scroll up and buy this audiobook now!

Very informative

Very informative. Some good suggestions. There were avenues I had not explored thoroughly enough. Bottom line: you have to spend considerable time and effort to get reviews for your book. Point well taken.

Practices what it preaches

This book is about how to get meaningful book reviews. Obviously one of his methods worked: giving out a free copy for review. Since I am indeed typing this, it's hard to argue with the results.

There's nothing groundbreaking in here. There is good information though that one could do well with being reminded of when they're feeling a bit desperate for more exposure. All in all, it feels like a writer with a few years of real world experience is sharing his early hard won lessons. It's similar to what I'd expect to find on a writer's personal blog as a series of articles. I'd expect this to be most valuable to people just starting out.

So many good considerations!

If you had given me a month to think about this topic I could not have come up with this much helpful content on the whole review process. If you are reading this review, you are in the market for this book and will certainly find its content interesting and actionable.

Such a great resource and the narrator was excellent.

Some interesting ideas

Authors live for reviews. So much hinges on them especially for indie authors. There are few ideas I had not thought of and I am sure there is something all authors could learn from this little book.

Lots of great stuff - FAST!

If you want to publish a book, you know reviews are crucial to getting it in front of potential readers. In this audio book the author lays out, in a quick succinct fashion, many points to consider and principles to follow when seeking to navigate the process of getting your work in front of readers and getting a review. It's the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of the next steps you need to take to start getting it out there.

Many works of this length in the do it yourself vein are filled with fluff and obvious statements that leave the reader with nothing more than what they started with. I found that this is not the case with this work and thought it was well worth my time to listen and then to re-listen!

I was given this book for free in exchange for this honest and unbiased review.

Helpful tips for self-published authors

Amazon and other companies make it easy to self-publish. Two years ago I self-published a book and, unfortunately, it got lost in the millions of other titles. A guide like this could've made the publishing process smoother. In order for self-published authors to get noticed, they need to engage with readers on social media. I appreciate the author's focus on getting reviews in an ethical way.
