About this listen

When family man Mike Torino lands a project in Italy, home of naked art, Valentino, and taxi-crashing yoga pants, he brings along his wife, hoping to rekindle their marriage. But romance gets derailed by head colds, constant bickering, and assaults from ankle-breaking cobblestone streets. Their daughter develops a gelato addiction. Mike's Italian partner has a coronary. And as for amore...Mattie tells Mike to handle things himself - and storms back to America.

Mike is trapped. Leaving Italy will blow a promotion; staying might cost him his wife and family.

While reeling from Mattie's frantic departure, a replacement liaison is assigned - a top-notch, beautiful young Italian woman who is instantly smitten with Mike and determined to reveal the passions of her homeland - whether he wants to see them or not! Normally immune, Mike is tempted - but is headstrong, voluptuous Julietta worth the risk?

funny and sexy just like it says

I enjoyed the story once they got to Italy. It started out kind of slow and took a bit to get into. Overall, I have it three stars. It was funnier than your average romance. I felt it wasn't as engaging or exciting as most of his books. I still enjoyed it as a whole. Usually, I do not like cheating tropes, but this one was both humorous and kind of deserving. I felt for him and didn't get irritated by the cheating.

Enjoyable read, highly recommend!

My first read/listen from author Dan Alatorre was amazing! I don't restrict myself to a particular genre. I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters and a story that keeps me guessing and a plot that keeps me turning the page. and this book did! Narrarator Kimberly Loftus’ talented narration added greatly to the book’s enjoyment although it was a little odd having a woman narrate a book written from the man’s point of view. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

WORST NARRATION

The mediocre plot was entertaining enough. The narration was horrible, FYI, the main character Mike is male, one could never tell from the poor narration. Don't waste your credit!
