About this listen

"When it comes to nerve-shredding, edge-of-your-seat suspense, Dodd consistently delivers the goods...Point Last Seen is a gobsmackingly great read."—Booklist STARRED REVIEW

Perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Karin Slaughter and Sandra Brown, New York Times bestselling author Christina Dodd’s all-new thriller, POINT LAST SEEN, will have readers keeping the lights on all night.

LIFE LAST SEEN

When you’ve already died, there should be nothing left to fear… When Adam Ramsdell pulls Elle’s half-frozen body from the surf on a lonely California beach, she has no memory of what her full name is and how she got those bruises ringing her throat.

GIRL LAST SEEN

Elle finds refuge in Adam’s home on the edge of Gothic, a remote village located between the steep lonely mountains and the raging Pacific Ocean. As flashes of her memory return, Elle faces a terrible truth—buried in her mind lurks a secret so dark it could get her killed.

POINT LAST SEEN

Everyone in Gothic seems to hide a dark past. Even Adam knows more than he will admit. Until Elle can unravel the truth, she doesn’t know who to trust, when to run and who else might be hurt when the killer who stalks her nightmares appears to finish what he started…

"No one does high-stakes, high-voltage suspense quite like Dodd."

Wonderful, quirky story

I love stories where the setting has as much impact as the characters. Gothic is a weird little town filled with quirky characters that raise your eyebrows but make you smile. Even though Adam and Elle are at the center of the action going on, everyone else, the town included, plays a part in the twist and turns that drive the story along. It pulls you in, keeps you guessing, and leaves you with a satisfied sigh at the end. The bad guys are vanquished and the good guys are left to live their happy ever after.
The narrator did a wonderful job of distinguishing between characters, kept the pace going, and added that extra element that makes the story just that much better.

Excellent story

I loved the characters in this book. I was sad when it ended because I could stay for awhile and visit in the town of Gothic.

Entertaining characters.

Christina Dodd never disappoints! Point Last Seen is full of mystery, some violence, and quirky characters, and she paints a town that makes me look forward to visiting again in future books.

Not my favorite from Christina Dodd

Unfortunately, as much as I love Ms. Dodd’s other suspense novels, this one was a let down. It just didn’t connect and the characters annoyed me more than anything. However, it might have been because of the narrator. I will avoid this narrator in the future. Her voice was aggravating, ESPECIALLY for the male lead character. He was supposed to be this reticent, tortured, kind of gruff man, and she voiced him like an eager young boy. But she also didn’t build up any suspense in her narration. I never got excited or nervous about what would happen next, and I seriously considered returning the audiobook halfway through, however, I do like Christina Dodd so much that I decided not to.

So So

I am a huge fan of CD, but I found this book lacking. Not up to her usual standards. A lot of rambling and useless dialogue made it hard to follow.

Great story

I really liked the quirky characters Christine created for this one. And a surprise at the end I didn’t see coming.

Unbelievable

I try to listen half way through even if I hate a book . I could make it past chapter 7. It was unrealistic.

*** SPOILER ***

He finds a female stranger almost drowned, she begs him not to call the police because someone (she doesn’t know who) will kill her. Okay I’ll keep listening
Then she begs him to take her to his home never asking if he’s married or even in an entanglement and she trust him because he didn’t try to kill her when he found her??? He agrees and promises not only not to take her to get checked out at the hospital but not to call the cops. Then back at his place he offers to bathe her while she’s partially naked and she lets him. Yeah, this is where it started to loose me. Next she has nightmares all night long and he doesn’t get sleep again not knowing if she killed someone, was an escapee from a prison or mental ward or a murderer. Because she can’t sleep he offers to sleep in the bed with her she says she wouldn’t mind for him to hold him then she suggests he take off his pants or at least his belt. Are You Kidding Me???
That’s when they lost me completely.
I like Christina Dodd, I think she’s a great author but this book I can’t finish.

Disappointed

Usually like her books a lot but I could not finish this one. Got a little more than half way and would return if allowed.

Ridiculous

I like Christina Dodd but I could not get past the first few chapters of this book. I appreciate the author’s quirky and different characters but this was just too improbable and ridiculous to the point of becoming annoying. I just couldn’t finish it after multiple tries. I will read her other books and reread those I have enjoyed but this one was a total waste of a credit. I hate to be so critical of someone’s hard work but this book just not my cup of tea.
