Lauren Landish
From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Lauren Landish comes two daring tales that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
Filthy Riches:
I’m just a girl, with dreams too big and hopes verging on hopeless. I never planned to become his.
Nathan Stone. Fiercely handsome. Powerful. The pull between us borders on primal. I need to be careful, he’s a dangerous man with even more dangerous enemies.
We were only supposed to be pretend, a ruse to protect me. But when his lips touch mine, I taste only truth. When he pulls me into his arms, it feels like forever.
Filthy Riches is an epic tale of love, danger, adventure, and a hard-won forever.
Scorpio:
Scott Danger. His name even comes with a warning label.
Handsome, rich, and sexier than any man should be, he’s pursuing me hard and fast. Little ol' me, a bartender with a penchant for makeup and old country music. He’s a predator caged in gilded threads, and I want to run just so he’ll chase me…catch me...take me. I’m in so much trouble, but I think I like it. Do I tempt fate?
Power Play is a romance collection consisting of Filthy Riches and Scorpio, two former top 100 Amazon Romances that'll run you through a gambit of emotions. Buckle up for a wild ride.

Scorpio: the second book was a bit long. Most of the book was abut a “boo hoo” little rich man. He obnoxiously thought that his lifestyle was better then the hardworking young woman bartender. It started getting interesting toward the end. He got a dose of humility and a lesson on real love. Maybe there will be book about Tiffanie Maddison’s friend. Maybe she and Chase/ The narrators did a great job.
Entertaining!

Filthy Riches - Landish seduces with a sex appeal that is downright dangerous. There are moments when your eyes want to look away, but your heart refuses to miss a thing. Nathan and Emma lure emotions to the edge and force them over the side.
Scorpio - Expect the unexpected. Scott is an enigma that is waiting to be solved. A master of disguise that pulls at more than just your heart. Madison is in over her head and it may end up costing her, her heart.
Unpredictable with a side of sexy.

I really enjoyed how Scott learned money could not buy love.

Let’s be clear, regardless of if a man has “just had too much to drink” or not, when a woman is yelling “NO” and pushing away a man’s aggressive physical advances (as he touches her while she fights to get away and he slurs profanity that insinuates he’s going to r*pe her) is ABSOLUTELY sexual assault. That man would’ve been arrested, regardless of alcohol consumption. His intent was to take something she was fighting against.
Following up that horrific moment with several chapters where every character (except for the boyfriend - who is rightly outraged) write it off as the assailant “just being drunk”, is not only irresponsible, but dismissive to the crime of sexual assault and a dangerous message to send to women. I think the moment that made me the most upset is when the character who is “like a mother” to the main female, calls the time she takes off after the assault a “pity party”….and then again states how Carl was just drunk.
I actually couldn’t believe what I was hearing as the story went on.
This author needs to either rewrite this part of the book or remove it from audible all together.
And I’m disappointed no one else has brought this up in other reviews. I wouldn’t have purchased this set had I known it contained such disregard for a serious topic.
Being so dismissive of sexual assault is dangerous.
