The difference between murder, accident, or suicide is sometimes indistinguishable.
Ex-cop John Jordan, now a prison chaplain in the Florida Panhandle, witnesses the bloody death of Potter Correctional Institution inmate Ike Johnson. But what exactly did he witness? Murder, accident, or suicide? Jordan discovers that in the closed society of captives and captors no act goes unseen, and no one takes kindly to a cop in a collar. He soon finds his reputation, his career, and even his life are at stake.
Newly revised with an introduction by Michael Connelly.

What did you love best about Power in the Blood?
The audio book is very easy to listen to. The voice is interesting and not a boring, monotone type voice that makes you lose interest. The story is intriguing and the reader doesn't present it as if he is reading from a book, but as if he is actually telling a true story which makes it even better. Jason narrating brings visualization to events that are happening. I am thoroughly enjoying the book and look forward to the next one! What was one of the most memorable moments of Power in the Blood?
I can answer this best once I have listened to the book in its entirety. What does Jason Betz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Jason's voice is like that of a mystery story teller...as if you were watching a mystery on television with someone telling the story. I'm really enjoying it.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It definitely keeps you wanting to listen to more, but I have set aside times to listen to it because of my busy schedule. I normally listened while working on my crochet, or while resting.Any additional comments?
This is a great book, and Jason brings it to life. You can't go wrong with this if you like mysteries.Audiobook
