About this listen

Eleanor Higgins has an incredible talent for matchmaking - for everyone but herself. Many of the couples in the tiny Colorado ranch town of Prairie Winds have Eleanor to thank for their happily ever after. But when her best friend, Morgan, asks for Eleanor's help to set her up on a date....

Well, that's where it gets complicated.

Morgan is funny and dashing, and she's sexier in blue jeans and a cowboy hat than any ranch hand has a right to be. She also just came out. The thing is, Eleanor's had a crush on Morgan since forever, and has spent her entire life convincing herself that Morgan was off limits. Now that Morgan's told her she's not exactly straight - and that Morgan needs her help to find the right lady - Eleanor's heartbroken that this "right lady" is probably not her. Ever the great friend, she knows her own ex-girlfriend is absolutely perfect for Morgan....

A sexy camping trip, a tornado, and an intense love triangle round out this heartwarming romance by best-selling author Marian Snowe!

Darling story

This is a sweet and aching story. Full of so much purity - that’s an odd way to describe it, but all the main characters are wonderful without being cardboard characters.

And Tessa Stavers’ narration is riveting.

It’s just me but I get frustrated

I’ve never been a individual who could handle miscommunication and that is a pretty big component to this story. It was well written and well narrated just frustrating because I saw such an easy fix early in the story but had to see both Ellie and Morgan misunderstand each other.

Meh....

Was a decent book but not very exciting or out of the ordinary....BFFs who fall for each other while dating all the wrong people. I've read a lot of Snowe's books and this was mild by far. I think I was just expecting more from the characters. Again, decent book but thrilling it was not.

Good story

Very sweet and enjoyable story. The two main characters had chemistry but had no clue as to what to tell each other about their feelings. The narrator was okay and got the job done.

Great Friends to Lovers Story!

The women in this best friends to lovers story are interesting and well rounded. I found the history of their friendship compelling and the development of their romantic feelings engaging. The main setting is a cattle ranch so there’s just a bit of western feel to the story.
The narration by Tessa Stavers was perfect for this sweet romance.

Excellent audio!

I really enjoyed Prairie Heart by Marian Snowe. Tessa Stavers does an excellent job with the narration. Great story. Relief to read about women who earn their living working with their hands and strong sexy muscular backs.

Loved the story

The narration? No so much... Tessa stagers has a good voice but her choice for Elenor’s voice was of a five year old... not a good choice
.story is well written, interesting, down to earth... characters well developed.

Bad Narration!

I liked the story, but the narration made the 30-40 year old women sound like 12 year olds! It was getting kinda creepy!
The people who narrate should learn the story and know their audience! Having grown women talk like school girls instead of grownups was disappointing.
