About this listen

Nature's fury is at my command, from tornadoes to rivers of molten lava. The question is, will these even work against the new enemies on the horizon?

When I arrived at the village last winter, the women faced starvation and extinction. But I've put food on their tables and babies in their bellies.

My power—a gift of the gods—is growing ferociously, but I must learn to wield it without destroying everything, including myself.

A powerful sorcerer commands the goblin army, and they're hell-bent on laying waste to my village. Much to my annoyance, a creepy old lady claiming to be an emissary also appears at our gate—but is she really what she appears to be?

Fun series so far!

The characters are cool and the narration is quite good. The story line is filling in well and I find myself making time to listen to the book! I hope if you are reading this you at least listen to the sample!

Great Series Continuation

David continues to do his best to protect the village from goblins and Karen's. Its a much tougher job than one would think. This a some good story progression and character progression, for this series. I think if book three continues much like the first two books it will be just as good.

Good Sequel

When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the last book worth it and then some. In my opinion this book reaches that bar. The author appears to be relatively new with only four books under his belt on Amazon. The story doesn't take itself seriously in my opinion and the characters are all way over the top. I was curious how many people who crapped on the first one would still pick up the second book knowing what they were in for. Looks like it was just one person and everybody else has enjoyed the story for what it is. Since the writing is over the top it should come as no surprise that the performances from the narration team reflect that. I personally enjoy checking out the work of new authors as they're more willing to take risks and it's always awesome to see them develop as they progress through their career. For some it's a side hustle and for some it's really what they want to do. Either way at the end of the day the objective is to entertain, or I should say as an audience member it is to find something entertaining. I liked the story well enough to come back for a book 3 should things work out well enough for it to be written. This is the 3rd time that I've come across these narrators though each time previously they were partnered with a different narrator. The first performance that I came across by Mandy McCullough was in “Lights Out” and for Matt Hicks it was in “Rise of the Cheap Potion Maker.” Now, as I did then, I have enjoyed their performances immensely. Lastly, I will just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us the audible listeners and I look forward to what comes next.

Howling_wolf

Another grate book didn’t think there could be a single part that would bring me to such emotional distress but then you hit me with that ending to the war though I was going to puke. Truly incredible she got just what she deserved you could say her just deserts hahahaha. NOn of this is negative in my opinion a book that is able to bring actual feelings of happiness, discomfort, disgust, ect is a fantastic book
