About this listen

A city girl can survive....

Or at least that's what New Yorker Frances Genovese hopes when she agrees to stay in Morning Glory, Mississippi for a few weeks after her brother's wedding. Though she may not know much about small-town living, she does know a thing or two about the new restaurant her brother's building. But she didn't bargain for a big country boy naysaying her vision. And she darn sure didn't expect to be so attracted to the infuriating contractor.

Clem Aiken knows two things: what it means to be a country boy and the target market for the new eatery. When he and Frances clash on her ideas, he figures there's one thing to do - teach the sophisticated beauty what it's like to live in a southern small town. Frances reluctantly gives Clem three days to change her mind about the restaurant design. After all, how hard can it be to bait a hook, fry chicken, or go honky tonkin'?

Opposites attract in this warm, fun novella set in Morning Glory.

Well done!

Short and sweet! Nice way to tie up loose ends of the characters from NYC meets Morning Glory, Mississippi.

Prince Not Quite Charming

So much fun! Frances Genovese is staying in Morning Glory after the wedding to help with finishing off her brother's new pizza place and help get it ready to open, however, her ideas clash with the southern way. Clem is in charge of construction and when Frannie shows up with her ideas he blows a gasket and puts in a call to Sal who asks Clem to show Frannie how to live in the south so she would understand and be able to decorate. Not a hardship for him since he wants to get close and so he does. This is a whirlwind romance of fun that cannot be missed!

It was a nice ending to the series

I do wish the characters had been developed more. It seemed like the book was written in a hurry, but I still enjoyed it.

The reader was impressive bringing the male and female characters to life. I could almost envision each one.

I like almost everything about this book. The idioms were hilarious. The reader was exquisite with the different accents.

I will never understand.

This author does write a good story...Usually...however I will never understand why women in these stories have to go through so many changes before they become "acceptable" to like. It actually annoyed me that she put on the flip flops and shorts. And then after she put on the denim underwear she wanted to be taken seriously. City man or Country man, no one should judge anyone into making a wardrobe change for their pleasure. And city girls wear shorts and flip flops just like country girls wear Eillen Fischer And girls from NYC are not like this character. good grief.
