About this listen

Rakos isn’t really a farmer. Bellamy definitely isn’t a minstrel.

Sheltered, sickly Prince Bellamy dreams of adventure—but not like this. Captured in enemy territory, his royal identity will get him killed. When his dangerously attractive fellow prisoner asks who he is, Bellamy claims to be a minstrel.

Except he can’t carry a tune to save his life. He panicked, okay?

Rakos was a dragonrider until betrayal landed him in chains. Now, he knows two things for certain: he can’t trust anyone, and he wants his dragon back. When the fragile minstrel asks who he is, Rakos claims he’s a farmer. When Bellamy begs for help reaching the border, Rakos refuses.

Until he can’t resist how much Bellamy needs him.

Stormy nights and deadly masquerades forge Rakos and Bellamy’s unlikely partnership into something more. Something exhilarating. Rakos treats Bellamy like a person, not a weak, untouchable prince, even as he protects him.

But Rakos’s enemies are circling in, and that very protection might be Bellamy’s undoing.

Prince in Disguise is a high fantasy gay romance, with double secret identities, only one bed, and a teleporting ferret. The Perilous Courts series is best listened to in order, but each book follows a different prince and his Happily Ever After.

Fun Book 2

Just finished the 2nd out of this trip after devouring the first one. This is a horny fantasy romance and that’s a good time. The narrators do a great job with characterization of all voices and the author does a good job of making an easy to follow fantasy world. If you like DND, and if you like gay porn, you’ll love this.

This is simply a fun time

I just... love this. Love this series, love this family of princes, love this romance. Just, chef's kiss.

Sweetheart Bell, a dragon (!!!) and ferret, double hidden identities, political maneuvering, adorable little moments between Rakos and Bell. Emotional head massage, magic sharing, on the road shenanigans. How dare Lark make me love these two just as much as Julien and Whisper!!

Bell and Rakos are a great pair

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series, but after the epilogue and hearing about Bellamy I did not think I would be interested in his story. Boy, was I wrong! I was somehow even more hooked by this book and could not stop! The author has a knack for writing spicy fiction with actual plot that has you gripped the entire time. I’m looking forward to the next book!

A great sequel

I loved Bellamy and Rakos, the arcs they went thru and the intricate world they live in. fantastic

a fantastic adventure

This book might be even better than book one, the pairing and chemistry between the characters, not to mention the love story and their adventures together.

Amazing story

Second book in The Perilous Courts is delightful. Good character development, interesting events, and a really good listen.
The dual narration was perfection, especially in the face of AI voice narration. I can’t emphasize enough the importance of human voices who understand the story and the way to portray it.

A Fantasy Treat

I loved Bellamy and Rakos both having to hide who they are from each other and the funny situations they get into because of that. And the dragons! Kirt Graves and John Solo do another amazing job with this one and really bring so much life to this story. Looking forward to Prince Audric's story!

Lots of Laughs and Adventure!

Fun story and good balance of Adventure and romance. I liked getting to know more of the family with Bell. I missed Whisper but glad he had a role to play here.

fun

I love how well written this was, full with novel ideas while incorporating the 2 most important tropes (“there was only one bed” and “kiss me so they won’t recognize us”). I love even the little details like dragon riders dying their hair of the color of their dragons. It is so well put together, I can’t stop fangirling about it! Smart character designs and smart politics and smart magic and smart story building AND SMART HUMOUR (“I only know what a hoe is”) and omg everything.
