I Just finished book one (Fangs & Fondant) and I loved it. This is another book that I wasn't 100% I would like it. And I didn't like it... I LOVED it. It was a cute, well written, fun story. And the narration was perfect. I love the way her voice sounds. A little on the breathy side maybe, I'm not sure but its perfect for a vampire story. I am looking forward to reading the next three books. I will update as I finish them...
The other three books....awesome. I was afraid I'd get sick of them if I listened to one right after the other (I get book ADD sometimes), that was totally not the case. I loved them all. All four were cute little books that held my attention from beginning to end. I definitely want to read more from Melissa Monroe. <3
So Far... I Love it!!!

The narrator did a great job on each individual performance and easily took these stories to the next level. Each character voice was clearly differentiated and consistent across the set.

First off, the world building in this series is superb. Author, Melissa Monroe, has done a great job at explaining Vampires and making a society where they exist seem plausible for the reader; for example, Vampires don't die due to sun exposure, they just become ill. I enjoyed that aspect of the series so far; it put a unique twist on the cozy mystery genre.
In a somewhat related note, the cast of characters are all incredibly delightful - well, except for the killers, that is. Despite having minor annoyances with Priscilla, I become emotionally invested in each resident of Bellmare by the end of the fourth book.
Finally, while I was slightly unsure of the narration in book one, I came to love the life that Cindy Kay added to these novels. My only disappointment is that the rest of the Priscilla Pratt series is not yet on audio.
Overall, I got a lot of enjoyment reading/listening to this box collection. I noticed that each book consistently became better than the last, so I can't wait to move on and see what is next for Priscilla Pratt and her band of misfits.
I would recommend this series to anyone who loves cozy mysteries and is looking for a fun, paranormal twist to the genre.
Such a fun twist on the cozy mystery genre

This is a very different Cozy Mysteries series for sure... It would seem strange that coziness could be part of a world where vampires co-exist alongside regular people, but how the stories develop with night baker par-excellence Priscilla Pratt. However not all is hunky-dory for this likable main character or for the other vampires with which she is surrounded. They all try to be accepted as equals in a somewhat stodgy society, not always successful.
There are many times during the narration when you feel sorry for them as they seem the only ones willing to make sacrifices in order to be accepted. The "villains" in the series are not only the actual murderers, but also many of the citizens of the small town of Bellemare. They are more than willing to profit from the legendary ghost stories that have made their town a tourists attraction, but are not very open to accept unique individuals that are recognized by the government as equals. Lots of bigotry if you ask me....
I like the fact that some of the myths that surround vampires are debunked in these books. It makes a world a lot easier to survive in for these functioning beings .
The stories themselves are varied enough to hold your attention even if listening to them one after the other. The narration is also well done. One issue I had listening to the audiobooks however was the missing pause between chapters that influenced some of the narration's flow.
It is a series that you will enjoy, but that will also make you think. Teenagers vampires that will never reach adulthood, secular vampires that are forever young in aspect, but so old in experience, the need to find food not readily available and to suppress a natural urge, would all be social troubling aspects of this fantastical society. For once, vampires have their own troubles to sort...

Book #2 – A Bite of Blueberry---oh wonderful life! Poor Priscilla now has her fairy godmother in town hoping to find someone to match her with. Then another murder occurs.
Book #3 – Blood in the Batter--coming to work one day she finds Madison with her hands on a man's neck trying to stem the blood coming out. Now comes twists and turns which leads to a surprising event.
Book #4 – Holy Crepes---The legislature for vampires shows up investigating the goings on in the area. Then another murder occurs.
BONUS FREE download of Book #0: - Fangs and Fairy Dust---
From one calamity to another Priscilla seems to just roll through life in the modern century like an out of control beacon of death, no pun intended. She's gone for over 200 years with no problem then of a sudden murder seems to be in the air.
The narrator is fantastic as she brings each of the characters to life.
