About this listen

Best-selling cozy mystery author Alexandria Clarke brings you the complete collection of the highly-rated Witch Myth Christmas and Witch Myth Yew Hollow series. These stories have accumulated over 500 five-star reviews and have been boxed together for the first time! That's three complete series totaling nine books!

Witch Myth Christmas

When one of her first-grade students goes missing the day after Christmas, Noelle Summers becomes an honorary detective for the Yew Hollow Police Department to find him. With help of her two best friends and her cousin Morgan, Noelle discovers that an evil witch has plans to abduct all of the kids in town. Can she find her student in time to save him and the rest of Yew Hollow’s children?

Witch Myth Yew Hollow

Morgan Summers hates talking to ghosts, but when the victim of a ghastly murder asks her for help from beyond the grave, Morgan can’t say no. Soon, Morgan herself is blamed for the murder, and the town is out for blood. Can Morgan clear her name, discover the real killer, and help her new ghostly friend cross over to the next life?

Witch Myth Wildfire

When a 16-year-old girl disappears from her hometown without a trace, stumping the local police force, the only person who has any hope of finding her is her older sister, Kennedy. The siblings share an otherworldly bond, which leads Kennedy to the peculiar, deserted town of Yew Hollow. Kennedy soon uncovers a coven of witches, a tragic secret, and something that she never knew about herself. When her number-one priority is her little sister’s safety, Kennedy’s decision to stay in or leave Yew Hollow is the hardest one she’ll ever make.

Born and brought up in New England, it is always fun to have a good story set in familiar territory. And while the stories are pretty good overall, it is disconcerting to have certain words or phrases either regionally mispronounced or have products within the story that would probably not be found within the geographic area. For example: unlikely to find funnel cakes at a carnival in New England. Fried dough, yes. Also, crayons are pronounced Cray-on, not Crayne, or something sounding like that. For me, regional differences make a difference to a story, having the ability to distract from the narration itself.

I absolutely loved this series. I wish it didn't end! I felt a part of the summers family from yh4 beginning. Alexandria Clarke is your girl for witches, mystery, family strength and a little suspense. not enough to drive you crazy but just the right amount to keep you going and done. I will definitely be looking into her other books

loved it

I enjoyed listening to these books. I could not wait to finish what ever I was doing. To get back to these stories. Wish there was more from the story line.

I really enjoyed this set of 6 books about the Summers’ Coven. They are light and funny stories with a dash of mystery and witchcraft! My only issue was that during 1 set of the books the narrator mispronounced many words. Not just a regional difference but total chaos. If this a problem for you then be forewarned!

Loved this fun listen!

I loved the series, especially the first girl, Noelle’s. But the other books were good too. The author is obviously talented. The choice of narrator for Morgan was odd. At least she could read though there was no difference in voices for characters except for the villains (kind of a dead giveaway). The last books (spans several POV’s including Gwenlynn, Nora, and Kennedy) had great storylines but a narrator so bad that it was distracting. I can’t for the life of me imagine why anyone would hire a reader who can’t pronounce anything. We’re not talking regional differences, she can’t pronounce gamut, debris or ricocheted. She mispronounced the name Yvonne, which isn’t an uncommon name at all and the name Adrienne, which is a seriously central character, so each time it came up, it was so damned distracting. I expect readers to screw up macabre, hardly anyone pronounces that right, but nearly a quarter of her reading was poorly pronounced words, which really distracts from the overall story.

The stories are great. Intriguing ideas, fascinating world. 2/3 of the readers are bad, one ridiculously so.

Changing narrator from American English in set 1 to British English in set 2 was bad enough...but switching to a Frenchwoman speaking American English was just NO. No...no...no!!! I literally stopped listening. It was ridiculous. No excuse for that. Trust me, you won’t be able to overlook it. The series was ok. Good value...but the last narrator just made it not worth it. Hurts me to review it like this, but it’s just the truth.

Pronounciation is atrocious in 3rd set

To make it clear, I enjoyed the stories within this box set. However, that being said, my ears are bleeding because of, not only the pleading, whiney voice of the narrator of the last 3 books, but the distracting and irritating fact that she doesn't pronounce so many words correctly, that I kept questioning whether or not she was a robot. I don't know whether to blame her for my bleeding ears, or the editor/producer/director of this series. I suppose all of the above. Such a shame. The first part of the set had a narrator with a British accent, which also, while a nice voice, didn't fit for witches living in the US. In fact, the entire town was presented with British accents. It was a bad choice to choose someone with this accent, and an even worse, and unforgivable choice to use a narrator who can't pronounce words.

Holy Cats! Mispronounce Much?
