I tried out the first book in the Detective Drake series, Butterfly Kisses, on a whim really. I had gone through all my other books and even re-read a lot of them, and I really needed something new. This series was a suggestion for me from Audible based on my read library. So I used a credit and gave it a shot.
Now I'm about to read book 9 in this series and have already downloaded several of Patrick Logan's other series' to read once I'm finished with this one.
I don't think I really need to gush about how great the books are. I think knowing that I only intended on reading one and am now on my 9th in less than two months is enough for anyone to understand that these are great books.
Patrick Logan is a great author and I just love his murdery, mystery, who-done-it imagination.
You'll fall in love with so many characters. And it really helps that the narration is fantastic. The narrator does a different voice for each character and he does it so well that you start to know who's speaking without having to hear him say who it was.
If you're not sure about this author, start out with Butterfly Kisses...if you aren't hooked by the end of the first chapter then I guess it's not your style... but I bet you won't be able to put it down!
