About this listen

I knew running from Adrian wouldn't be easy. That there was a risk I would be caught, but I never anticipated he would go to such great lengths to find me. Now that he knows what I've done, I wonder if there will ever be love between us again, or if we were always meant to be enemies?

This is book two in a duet and cannot be listened to as a stand-alone. Book one, Vow to Protect, must be heard before this one.

Still listening

I’ve now listen to the 1st and second book of this series. I still love the whole story and the characters in it. The second book gives you more insight on the 5 and I enjoy them as much as the main characters. Just wish someone else was reading the story.

Wasnt my favorite…

The story was hard to follow…. And the female voice was very confusing, and the steadiness of her voice just did not go with the story…

Love the story

Love the actual story but the narrator, specifically the woman has got to be the WORST reader ever. Thank goodness the actual story is worth hearing or I would’ve quit listening. NOONE SHOULD EVER USE HER EVER AGAIN!

Great Storyline

I couldn’t stand the female leads voice! Other than that the overall storyline was great. Male voice was fantastic.

Meh

The first book was better, this was missing something. I found Valentina a bit annoying.

Good but

I really enjoy this story, however I couldn’t tell you how long it actually takes as it’s hard to follow the time jumps and there are so many.

Not as good as book 1

Adrian was such a d*ck in most of this book! What a disappointment after him being a mostly-decent guy in book 1. He was super controlling, condescending, and really dismissive of the fact that Valentina is a human being in this book. He treats her like a possession more than anything else, and is just such a jerk! I was also under the impression (incorrect, evidently) that books 1&2 were more duets in this series, and that even though they’d be related, I thought they’d be sort of standalones together. This book ended on a cliffhanger too though, with a lot of unresolved issues.

If I’m able to continue reading the series via Audio Prime then I’ll continue. Otherwise, I’m probably calling it quits. 😕

Hated female narrator

Enjoyed the character and the male narrator. When the female read it was extremely difficult to enjoy listening. I think she drove me to really dislike the female lead.

sadly, not nearly as good as the first

Aaron Shedlock has a fantastic voice and could've narrated the who thing. Meghan Kelly is fine, not sure why so many bad reviews. Her character is a doormat, refusing to grow up or incapable of thinking things through before making childish decisions. Given that her voice was perfect.
