About this listen

For PI Franki Amato, New Orleans is anything but The Big Easy. Her best friend and employer has assigned her an unsettling investigation - the murder of a gorgeous cosmetics CEO at an allegedly haunted plantation. Adding to Franki’s stress, her meddling Sicilian nonna is planning her engagement even though her boyfriend, Bradley, hasn’t popped the question, and his new secretary seems determined to ensure a proposal never happens. As Bradley grows distant and the plantation grows dangerous, Franki turns to a psychic who is deathly afraid of ghosts. But her relationship is the least of her worries. She has to figure out what pink lip gloss, pirates, and a legendary diamond have to do with the bizarre homicide before she, too, drops dead like a Southern belle during a sweltering summer.

Prosecco Pink

What about Madeline Mrozek’s performance did you like?

I think she really brought this story to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Even though this is a murder mystery, their are moments that you smile and laugh throughout the book.

Any additional comments?

This is one of those audios that you don't want to stop listening until the end. And you still want more when its over. The book is easy to get wrapped up and time just slips away. Frankie, her friends and family are great characters. The murder case she is working is really intriguing with so little to go on yet she follows every lead no matter how big or small. Frankie really lover her food too, she really makes you want a beignet and a po'boy.

I was given this audio in exchange for an unbiased review.

A plantation murder, ghosts & a sneaky secretary

When Franki Amato and Veronica Maggio are hired to Investigate the murder of a cosmetics CEO at a plantation, they never expected ghosts or other phenomenon entities coming into play. While Franki investigates the murder, she finds that her boyfriend's secretary is trying to move in on her man and ruin his career. Of course, she cannot let it go. I love how Traci normally has multiple cases going on, sometimes tied together but all usually getting Franki into some sort of trouble. These books, while murder mysteries have a lot of laugh out loud moments, Franki always manages to get herself into some sort of trouble during the investigations. Throw in the witchcraft and voodoo common to the New Orleans background as well as her overbearing, meddling Italian family, there is always fun and chaos. The narrator does a good job differentiating the different characters so you know when the person changes. Loving this series. Can't wait to see what else is in store for Franki and friends.

JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!

Traci Andrighetti has done it again! Another adventure with Franki Amato and the other quirky characters in the series. I absolutely love all the characters and the narrator in this audio adds the perfect voice for them all. I have never had so much fun with one book. It truly has it all, murder, mystery, humor, and love. Can't wait to hear another in the series.

Love the over the top characters and duel plot

Would you listen to Prosecco Pink again? Why?

I loved this Frankie Amato audio book. The story is funny, the characters are over the top, and the mystery keeps you guessing till the very end. I love mysteries that have duel plots and this one does not disappoint. Although I was gifted this copy in exchange for my honest review, I am buying the first one in the series because I liked it so much. If you are a fan of Janet Evanovich you will really enjoy reading this series by Traci Andrighetti.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Franki Amato series written by Traci Andrighetti and narrated by Madeline Mrozek. Frankie is a private investigator in New Orleans, and her boss Veronica, is her best friend. She has been dating sexy Bradley but doesn’t trust his sexy, sneaky new secretary. Franki and Veronica are hired to investigate the murder of a cosmetics CEO. Franki also starts investigating her boyfriend’s new secretary to prove to Bradley that she can’t be trusted. Franki also has to deal with her matchmaker and interfering grandmother. This book has it all, romance, mystery, suspense, humor, and a ghost. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises.

The narrator Madeline Mrozek did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Fun and cozy

This is the first book by the author and narrator that I have listened to. I found it to be very fun, humorous and intriguing. I will definitely listen to more in the series. I loved the quirky characters and some of the irony. The narrator did a great job with the voices and inflection of accents. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, and/or publisher. This particular book is book 2 in the series, but I found it to be a great standalone.

Franki does it again!

Traci Andrighetti has an awesome imagination. Not necessarily a badass, doesn't always have the answers, has an aggressive Italian family...these are a few of the reasons that I love Franki Amato. Franki gets a little jealous when her boyfriend starts spending time with his new sexy assistant at the bank. Who wouldn't! On the lookout for a killer and still keeping an eye on her boyfriend, Franki gets herself into more than one jam. Things are really looking bad for Franki, even her relationship with her best friend and coworker Veronica is being tested. This book takes you on a fun adventure in NOLA, a place I would love to visit. I can almost smell the alligator jerky while listening to Madeline Mrozek narrate. Madeline does a fantastic job separating characters, keeping a good rhythm and maintaining steady accents throughout the book.

I highly recommend this book!
