Her body was his to protect. And to own . . .
Fixer Sara Reaver is furious when she discovers that she's not only been exiled to the country for her own safety, but she's been assigned a bodyguard. Zebadiah "Z" Loreto may be her brother's best friend, but he's also one big, bad, and very sexy wolf of a man . . . and Sara's determined to make him come out and play.
And oh, Z wants to play. But Sara Reaver is definitely off-limits and Z promised himself never to unleash his dark desires ever again. Still, he can see that she craves the harsh and sensual hand of control.
It will mean crossing professional and personal boundaries. Breaking their own rules. And they'll both discover just what happens-for good or bad-when they relinquish complete control . . .
Contains mature themes.

This was a quick and spicy 🌶 read, sprinkled with some kinky moments.
It was enjoyable if not very original, but the ending was satisfying, and the plot was pretty straightforward and uncomplicated.
Some things I didn't love in this story: Sara was almost harassing Z at the beginning of the book, touching his 🍆 without real consent on his side 🙄🤦🏼♀️
Also, there's a scene at the pool where she's naked, and she's practically begging for him to take her. Meanwhile, Z is trying to stay in control and not succumb to her temptation, so he rejects her advances again (for the third time after the club, and the car). Any self-respecting woman would take the hint and moved on, but not Sara 😩. She pursued Z relentlessly, which seemed a bit desperate imo. I think that the author was going for an MMC, which was stoic and impenetrable, but he seemed a bit passive and repressed to me (at the beginning of the story, until he snaps).
If you like KR's books, you'll most likely enjoy this one, too.
Happy reading! 📚

But THIS book just pissed me off. At the climax of the story (not the characters climaxing), the female protagonist tells the man what she wants over and over, but he won't listen. He only 'figures out what to do' when her brothers go have a 'chat' with him. F-----g figures...
A man who only listens to other men
