Introducing the Custard Protocol series, in which Alexia Maccon's daughter, Prudence, travels to India on behalf of queen, country--and the perfect pot of tea.
When Prudence Alessandra Maccon Akeldama ("Rue" to her friends) is bequeathed an unexpected dirigible, she does what any sensible female under similar circumstances would do: she christens it the Spotted Custard and floats off to India.
Soon she stumbles upon a plot involving local dissidents, a kidnapped brigadier's wife, and some awfully familiar Scottish werewolves. Faced with a dire crisis (and an embarrassing lack of bloomers), Rue must rely on her good breeding--and her metanatural abilities--to get to the bottom of it all.

What made the experience of listening to Prudence the most enjoyable?
This is a good follow-on to the previous Carringer series about the floating school but the connections aren't really clear until about a third of the way into the book. What did you like best about this story?
The use of the supernatural characters and characteristicsWhat does Moira Quirk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Pretty good characterizations of the characters but a little heavy on the accents sometimes made the story a bit hard to follow.Good Carringer story but too heavy in the accents

My one complaint is Moira Quirk's (who does a great job with everyone else) version of Lord Akeldama isn't what I wanted it to be. He's my favorite in the other books and hearing him played a different way was disheartening. Quirk is absolutely terrific with every other voice and is a fav narrator otherwise
Great!
