Publisher's summary

Strange sightings in the town cemetery, townspeople acting like zombies, and pumpkin cheesecake....

Sweet Home has become inundated with unholy sightings and turned over tombstones in the old cemetery. And if that wasn't enough, Essie and Hildie aren't talking to anyone, even Lily. All the seniors seem out of sorts, but of course that's normal for Toe and Harvey.

Find out what happens when Lily; her best friend, Jules; and her gorgeous boyfriend, Eli, take matters into their own hands when the town starts spinning out of control.

Not conventional mystery

What did you like best about Punked by the Pumpkin: A Cozy Mystery? What did you like least?

The fact that there was a variety of strange things going on, it fits with the Halloween theme of the book.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It needed more intense action and the scariness more developed.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It sounded as if she was speed reading and as if someone of the characters were shouting instead of talking. Very harsh delivery. Her voice for Eli, the hero, sounded more like a cranky old woman.

Could you see Punked by the Pumpkin: A Cozy Mystery being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

This would be more of a C grade Lifetime type movie with Lori Loughlin and one of those pleasant faced, nice voiced Canadian male actors.

Any additional comments?

There is no murder in this book, but merely some strange events that had some spooky potential, but wasn't developed enough for me and when we found out why (especially the seniors) it was disappointing (original though). The chupacabra was the best, but I'd read similar stories before. With almost no changes, I'd really market this towards the young and pre-teen market like an R.L. Stine.

I think audio format really benefited this novella length story and made it seem longer and fuller than the average novella.

I really enjoyed this one!

This was a good book that sucked me right in. It's also one of those that you don't need to know the history of what went on in the previous books to know what's going on in the present. The narration was very good too. I will definitely be seeking out more of the series.

P.S. I also LOVE pumpkin EVERYTHING! :)

Good narration

Thanksgiving with these quirky people will add a lot of humor as the strange things that seem to be going on in town, and with the seniority citizen. Enjoyable and good narration. Given audio for my voluntary review and my voluntary review

Enjoyed it!

I received this book for free, for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! Having read the others in the series, it was great seeing some of the original characters and some new ones. The author once again created a wonderful world that was great to get lost in. The narrator was amazingly easy to understand and follow,

Not my favorte

This wasn't my favorite book in the series yet. It was more fun/fluff than the type of mystery seen in the other books, Still enjoyable, just not my favorite.

A Pumpkin Spiced Blast With Fun Characters

PUNKED BY THE PUMPKIN was a cute cozy with a fun plot. This wasn't anything heavy just good fun. I enjoyed listening and the characters were great. I love these stories. I found it highly entertaining and CONSTANCE BARKER does a nice job writing these. This is good not just for Halloween but anytime. It's a pumpkin spiced blast.

ANGEL CLARK's performance was terrific. She makes the story a lot of fun with her high energy narration. She keeps the story moving at a good pace and has awesome character inflections. I'd recommend giving this and the series a listen. Overall great fun.
