Publisher's summary

A vacation at her godmother's ranch near Abilene would have been the perfect place for Maggie Turner to escape her ex-husband's threats. Perfect, that is, if it hadn't been for Gabe Coleman. Tall, lithe, and lean, he was just as blunt, rude - and powerfully sensual - as he'd been 10 years ago.

His cold formality gave her the goose bumps. And his icy blue eyes watched her like those of a hungry cat - daring her to look beneath his savage surface. She thought marriage had cured her of desire. Then the raging passions of a Texas cowboy gave her a new lease on love.

Good Read

The story was ok. Nothing amazing. My biggest problem was the narration. He made the femal sound like she 80. I couldn't get into the story. I would try another book of the writers, but I won't be listening to this narrator again.

Maggie and Gabriel had a rage of passion

They were very intimate with each other and they both loved with all their hearts.

Good story, but narration is hard to in listen to.

The story was good. Shorter than I usually listen to but still a good read. The narrator made me think of Marlin Perkins from Wild Kingdom-not what I prefer in a romance novel.

Narrator voice was a little rough for female voices

I Was quite jarred by the narrator’s scratchy mom female voices. The story was very predictable but had a happy ending.

Vintage Diana Palmer

This book is a reflection of the era in which it was written. In that context, it’s a sweet and heartfelt romance. But if outdated attitudes about relationships and sex are turn off for you, this is not your book. Personally, I can excuse those things as a reflection of the year in which the author wrote it. Occasionally, I’m just in the mood for an unsophisticated, yet straight forward and sincere, vintage romance. If that makes me a nerd, well okay.🤓🙃😉

But the narration is inexcusable. The voice he used for the FMC’s young daughter was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Wheezy and squeaky… like an elderly mouse. Even for the biggest Diana Palmer fan out there, I cannot recommend this audiobook. Better to read this one in digital format and find another one to listen to.

Unintentionally funny

Combine the writing with the narration and this romance novel is the funniest book you'll ever listen to.
