We have loved this book! It was so good. I loved the faith and the strong family values. I loved how even though it was about a tough topic, during a tough time, it was handled delicately. Even my 7 year old son didn't want to stop. My 9 year old daughter loved how they always looked to God. And my 11 year old son really liked all the different characters and their development. We read this as we were doing a history study unit on vikings. Definitely recommend this book!

Strong Faith and Family Relationships and gripping storyline

This is the first in the series. It ends in a satisfactory manner, but is clearly meant to continue the series in order to wrap up all plot lines. Characters were believable, and the story line was interesting.

Great first book!
