Sir Kendrick - Medieval Obi Wan and Anakin

I enjoyed listening to Sir Kendrick and the Castle of Bel Lione. Seasoned Sir Kendrick is assigned Sir Duncan, an impetuous and brash young knight of the Prince, to be his apprentice. They are sent on a mission to find out where a growing group of evil knights is located. I loved the dynamic and relationship between the two knights. It reminded me of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Sir Kendrick is the wise older mentor trying to impart wisdom to the young zealous apprentice.

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and wondering if the two knights will survive the deadly ordeal they have stumbled into. A must read!

Great book

Alright so I’m a 12 yr old and I loved this book. I have the book and now the audio as well so I’m like cool let’s hear it! I liked the hilarious voice of Landor I mean he’s an old man like 50 yrs old and he sounds crazy!!! If your going on a road long road trip not recommended only because it’s a short book. If you want a road trip book get tomorrow war by J L Bourne. But I really enjoyed this book and thank you chuck black. Oh and one more thing: WHY IS KENDRICK NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN IN THE OTHER BOOKS!!!!OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!!!!!

Great story!

Listened to this with our kids on a road trip. It kept everyone engaged ( after the prologue) and interested. Knights in shining armor, a great battle to fight, and even a bit of romance. A great family listen!

Inspiring and riveting!

I loved these books as a preteen and after listening again with my wife recently I was reminded of how valuable it's message is. This story is that of courage and conviction in the face of great evil. It shows the true face evil behind the alluring deception. Only through the power of the Prince can men and women be truly set free from their bondage!

A MUST READ FOR YOUNG CHRISTIANS!

Although, the music was distracting at time (it would have been nice if there was an option or volume button), but overall this is a wonderful story of Christian faith with all those elements of character that we want our young people to see and exemplify. C.S. Lewis made a wonderful statement, he said, "Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise, you are making their destiny not brighter but darker. " And Chuck Black has done just that in this book. I loved it from start to finish.

Knights of the prince!

Story was great, the writing was pretty good. Villains are a little one dimensional but I believe they're intended to be that way. Overall a great book, highly recommended!!!!

Awesome 1st book

Absolutely loved this first book. It was so good. I had ditched it for about 3 years always finding what I thought should be better. But we have listened to so many books we decided to give it a try !! I was mad I didn’t listen to it sooner. It was fantastic. Storyline and all. Characters were great. It was a clean Christian book with no pushy overtones. If your a Christian you will love it. And if your not a Christian you will still love it. It’s a great story that will touch the hearts of all. Enough action to keep me from wanting to go to sleep at night !!
