Good

Maybe just me, but I could not stand the voices used for children. It became like nails on a chalkboard. I wish she could have just read it in her own voice. The book itself was helpful, but sometimes seems like a little too over the top. Looking forward to reading others and putting it all together.

Helpful info, not the best narrator

I’m not going to bash this woman’s voice the way other reviewers have, but I will say that I found it hard to listen to after awhile. The voice shifts she makes for men and children became sort of grating or jarring after awhile, and it doesn’t help that some of the way it’s written at times — the dialogue — honestly doesn’t seem very realistic either. We’ve gleaned some very helpful info from the book but I wish the dialogue and narrator had been a bit different.

Worth the read but somewhat boring.

Worth the read but somewhat boring. The 1st 2 hours drag but you start to see where you can implement advice with your kiddos from there.

Narration needs work

This book has been amazing for our family- it has had an impact on my spirited kiddo and our parenting. However, the narrator is awful. Her voices for the different characters are grating and she can sometimes sound seductive, which is totally the wrong tone for this book. It took a lot of work to get through this audiobook without distraction.

Helpful book for parents and care providers

This book has been incredibly helpful for me as the parent of a spirited child. I think daycare providers and teachers will also benefit greatly from the information and tools presented in this book. Anyone responsible in anyway for the success of children will be immensely more successful in their endeavor as a result of reading this book. Many children, parents, educators and care providers will directly benefit from more adults reading, digesting, and integrating this information into their daily interactions with others.

slow start but so worth the listen

I had to speed it up a little, because she talks really slow. but after I did that the information she gives is invaluable. I've learned so many tricks and tips. it makes you appreciate your kid in another level. once you understand their point of view it's much easier to adapt and live with them
