Publisher's summary

When life gives Kuro Jenkins lemons, he wants to make ponzu to serve at his Los Angeles ramen shop.

Instead, he’s dodging bullets and wondering how the hell he ended up back in the Black Ops lifestyle he left behind him. After rescuing former child star Trey Bishop from a pair of thugs in the middle of the night, he knows it’s time to pick up his gun again. But it seems trouble isn’t done with Trey, and Kuro can’t quite let go...of either the gun or Trey Bishop.

Trey Bishop never denied his life’s downward spiral was his own fault. After a few stints in rehab, he’s finally shaken off his Hollywood bad-boy lifestyle but not his reputation. The destruction of his acting career and his relationships goes deep, and no one trusts anything he says, including the LAPD. When two men dragging a dead body spot him on a late-night run and try to murder him, Trey is grateful for the tall, dark, and deadly ramen shop owner he lusts over - not just for rescuing him, but also for believing him.

Now caught in a web of murders and lies, Trey knows someone wants him dead, and the only one on his side is a man with deep, dark secrets. Trey hopes Kuro Jenkins will stick around to see what the future holds for them once the dust settles, but from the looks of things, neither of them may survive to find out.

Over to soon

With all of her books I feel she builds a world with detail . A place that I wouldn’t necessarily want to live at but really like to experience through the eyes and hearts of the characters . But over way to soon!!! An instant buy and listen for me!!!! Thank you for weaving a gritty story !

I enjoyed the story line a characters. I'm glad the sex wasn't over done. The tension and banter was a total turn on. The reader was a 10.

Great blend of action, passion and in depth story

I like my romance well seasoned with action, intrigue and mystery and Ramen Assassin was a perfect blend. Didn't get bored with the sexy parts, mystery was well entwined in story telling and not too much angst. Characters were believable and easy to love. Couple that with Kale Williams telling the story and it warrants another five star rating for Rhys Ford.

Exceptional story

Narrator Kale Williams was awesome.

The story is very well written, action packed, and has a little mystery (who wants Trey Bishop dead?) Gun fights, snark, and flying iron skillets. So much fun!

Overall 4.25 stars

I loved the chemistry and fast pace action that can through this audio book. This is first audio book as Kale Williams as the narrator and his performance was excellent. His accents and different voices was on point. Great listening experience!

Fun and tasty!

I broke my own rule and listened to this audio without having already read the book. It’s in my TBR, just kept getting pushed back. And that stinks as I love Trey and Kuro! Their story could have been one of slowly moving together and seeing what they could become, if Trey hadn’t seen a dead body being moved in an alley and Kuro hadn’t come to his rescue bearing great legs and a big gun. Thrown together, they each have to work through their own issues as well as work together to keep Trey alive.
A spectacular book takes a great narrator to bring it to life and give the author and characters their due. Kale Williams does a fantastic job, rolling out the drama, snark and dry wit of the characters.

Touching Story With a Good Mystery

I enjoyed the mystery aspects of this book and never did get close to guessing correctly who the ultimate bad guy was. I appreciated that while there was a very sweet budding romance, it wasn't one that made sexy times the main focus of the book like too many authors tend to do. Well done!

Great Story and Characters

Someone is trying to kill Trey Bishop. Kuro Jenkins gets involved after Trey witnesses men moving a dead body. This was a fun listen with plenty of action and a little romance.. Trey's introspection gets a little tedious but not enough to lower my rating of this book. The narrator did a good job differentiating the different characters. This is the first book of a new series. I am impatiently waiting for Book 2.
