About this listen

The secret history behind the New York Times best-selling Ranger's Apprentice novels.

Unconfirmed accounts of a group of Araluen warriors - tales of adventure, battle, and triumph over evil - have spread for centuries throughout the known world. Most notable is a clan shrouded in mystery, phantom warriors known as the Rangers.

Two names pass the lips of every storyteller: Halt, and his apprentice, Will. They and their comrades in arms are said to have traveled throughout the kingdom and beyond its borders, protecting those who needed it most. If true, these rumors can be only part of the story.

Only now, centuries after these men and women walked the earth, do we have confirmation of their existence. Behold: The Lost Stories.

An Excellent Book for Fans of the Series

If you've gotten to this book you're probably a fan of the Ranger's Apprentice Series. Unlike the previous books in the series this one is a collection of short stories. However, each story is amazing and many of the them answer questions you may or may not have had about the series. Additionally, narrator does great job varying the characters voices and adding the right tone and emotion to each line of dialogue.

Love these stories so much. And John Keating helps them come alive with his enthusiasm and voices.

Great Fill-In

I really enjoyed the short stories in this book. I thought that it was very creative how they introduced the telling of these stories. I love the characters. It's like they are family and friends at this point. It really filled in a lot of unknown areas. I loved it. This may be my favorite book of the series.

Nice wrap-up!

Excellent way of filling in the gaps in the lives of the Rangers. I especially enjoyed the adventure of Crowley and Halt's first meeting and follow-on experience, which had been referenced in passing many times throughout the Ranger books.

I have enjoyed everyone of John’s books…. When I’m done with all the news and bad behavior in the world I tune out and turn on these great stories …thanks for the reprieve

Very Nice work....but change the Narrator!

Once again Flanagan fills in the gaps quite nicely! However, once again Keating does a great job at ruining the listening enjoyment with his inability to give the characters distinctive voices that compliment their persona. I've decided to by the paper books from now on instead of purchasing the audible version if read be Keating.
