About this listen

Raphael Santos.
A criminal.
The devil.

The man was definitely suave and charismatic. The way he looked at me made me shiver, but his eyes rattled something deep inside me.

I hated him with every fiber of my being. His family destroyed mine. His father started a chain reaction that could never be undone. The Santos family ruled the underworld of Florida. They were powerful, vicious, and ruthless. Mine had once ruled D.C.

He may have secrets, but I have secrets of my own. An innocent boy who I’ll protect with my dying breath. My son.

Raphael devises a plan to get what we both want, and without any other options, I reluctantly agree...even if I know there will be consequences regardless of the outcome.

But in his darkness, a fire burns brighter. Passion grows hotter. Love grows stronger. Now, we have no choice but to finish this. Together.

Thank god for Troy Duran

I loved the story. Troy was as always amazing. Stephanie was so difficult to listen to I had to skip her chapters. She was whiney, screeching and over acted.

First heroine I was arguing with

At times I didn’t like Sailor, she spent a lot of time in her head going in circles and demonstrating her immaturity. After a while I was able to appreciate that Raphael wanted someone who needed him in that way, but I had a hard time with her leaving him for the reasoning she gave herself and yet saying to herself all the reasons she should have been home with Ralph without acknowledging them herself. Anyway, Eva Winners is awesome and Sailor was really believable I just wanted to yell some sense into her a lot.

love it

Another great story in Eva Winners Belles and Mobsters series.
Sailor is strong, but knows she needs protection from the cartel
She wants to take both down cartel and her crooked politician father.
Raphael is the ultimate, protective , alpha male. He has had an interest in Sailor when he first saw her. He offers her and her son protection from them.
Raphel and Sailor romance is slow burn, oh sexy hot!
The drama, twists and turns, suspense, had me on the edge of my seat.
Stephanie Kay and Troy Duran are super talented narrators. Troy deep, sexy voice is perfection for the alpha, swoony Raphael.
Kay captured Sailor at her weakest, most, vulnerable moments.
Very well done.

Troy Duran Makes it Amazing

I can't say enough about this writer. She's very good. And Troy Duran...he's the best. But Stefanie Kay ruined it for me. She over-acted this whole book. It was frustrating to hear her continuous blabbering . Maybe someone like Keira Stephens or a more natural narrator, like Brook Daniels. Not a crazy overly dramatic narrator, I don't know. She's just not great and Troy is the best.

Other than that, the story is good. I can't go with a 5 because of the female narrator. But I would definitely listen to the book because of the story and Troy.

Sadness heartache trauma and love

I wish there was more love and more of a healing between the characters. There is a whole lot of dark trauma
In this one. The overall story is good but it’s a gut punch a lot of the time.

Heartbreaking!

I am absolutely loving this series by Eva Winners! My heart was broken for most of this one. The pain was real just as Raphael's love for Sailor. I was glad to be on a trip this weekend so I could listen with minimal interruptions. I needed to get to the HEA. I was not disappointed! I cannot wait for the last one to be released, then I'll be doing a relisten of all of them back to back. Love this world of anti-heroes and their girls!

Troy Duran and Stephanie Kay are excellent narrators. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection!

the story was great Raphael

I loved the characters, I'm just sad it took so long for Raphael to get what he wanted but the end was bliss.

The female voice is nonstop hysterically annoying!

I listen to audiobooks everyday! I never write out reviews. This female screaming and screeching literally made me cringe through the whole book. Her voice was intolerable. I don’t know how I made it through.
