Publisher's summary

Thanksgiving has a way of thawing the frostiest hearts in Lake Eden. But that won't be happening for newlywed Hannah Swensen Barton - not after her husband suddenly disappears....

Hannah has felt as bitter as November in Minnesota since Ross vanished without a trace and left their marriage in limbo. Still, she throws herself into a baking frenzy for the sake of pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving-themed treats while endless holiday orders pour into The Cookie Jar.

Hannah even introduces a raspberry Danish pastry to the menu, and P.K., her husband's assistant at KCOW-TV, will be one of the first to sample it. But instead of taking a bite, P.K., who is driving Ross's car and using his desk at work, is murdered. Was someone plotting against P.K. all along or did Ross dodge a deadly dose of sweet revenge?

Hannah will have to quickly sift through a cornucopia of clues and suspects to stop a killer from bringing another murder to the table....

Loved it

I love all her books. I can't wait for the next one. Hannah is a great character.

Too much filler

Disappointing book overall. Way too much time spent on descriptions of meals, foods, etc and way too little mystery. Mystery itself was obvious as soon as the character was introduced.

Great read

It was a good read. Easy to listen to while doing something else, easy to follow.

Make sure you have paper and pen before reading.

The receipts sounded good. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I’m assuming there are previous book that gives a little more backstory for these people. It’s a loose murder mystery. I got so bogged down with the receipts I didn’t really invest in the characters. It’s not much of a story and the ending was flat. I probably won’t read another by her. This was on sale so I tried it. I was expecting more of British-type mystery so I was a lot disappointed. The narrator was good. I think I was generous with the stars. She aught to write cook books. I’m

Good recipes poor story

While the recipes might be worth trying, this storyline was really weak. It took a long time to get the story going and I never connected.

What an ending.....

This was not one of her better books. It seemed thrown together and the ending doesn't make sense. Hannah and Ross are married on national television and he is well know and then at the end he is (spoiler so not included). What was she thinking? It doesn't make sense.

Why can’t Hanna be Happily Married that’s a FLUKE

What made the experience of listening to Raspberry Danish Murder the most enjoyable?

It is not right for the star of the story to be hurt at the end with all the good she does! I hate the end of the story. I don’t think I’ll be reading any more of these books unless this is set right. She was happily in love and it’s snatched from her in a cowardly way like that. SADLY DISAPPOINTED 😔 😔😔😔😔

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The clues left for Hannah

Which character – as performed by Suzanne Toren – was your favorite?

Hannah

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The very ending because you hurt the character that shouldn’t be hurt the most. No matter if he was dead or a bigamist she has to be hurt the same.

Any additional comments?

The ending was not fair for the start!!!😤😤😤😭😭😭

Gripping and Emotional!

The most action-packed of Jo Fluke’s homey mysteries yet! This latest book in the series pulls at my heart strings and has unexpected twists and turns worthy of a series I’ve been reading and listening to since I was a kid! Now maybe Hannah has a chance at something even better! Can’t wait for the next one! Only bad comment I would say was that there was a bit of skipping around leading up to the moment of the murder.

HMMM...

Not the best book I have listened to. Chactures seemed waxie and storyline just didn't flow. Hope the next book I listen to is more believable or I 'm done with this series and wasted my time and money listening.
