About this listen

*A must-listen for fans of A Shade of Vampire, The Watchmakers Daughter, and The Last Necromancer. *

Raven looks out over the small, industrial town of Cogsworth and imagines a life beyond the confines of her grandmother's mansion.

However, Raven holds a dark secret that prevents her from leaving. One which comes to light after her father's untimely death. Now an orphan, Raven must do her best to hide her gifts of sight if she's to survive the cruel Victorian society she lives in.

When a ghost of a child comes to her for help, Raven finds herself in the gas-lit streets of London, on the trail of a serial killer. As she tries to solve the string of murders, she realizes that the murders are almost identical to those from a case left unsolved years before she was born.

In a race against time, Raven is thrown into a world she doesn't know. With her crush, Tom, a ghost, her friend, Emmett, now a primary suspect in the case, and an uncle who runs illicit groups and hates women, Raven will have to unravel the mysteries quickly before she becomes the next victim.

Entertaining!

The story was a spooky fun tale qutg some cryptic twists to it. I thought I had it figured out a couple times but then boom... another twist! I enjoyed it a lot. Good work on the Narrator, as well. This book was provided free of charge in exchange for a fair review of the book... Thank You!

Enchanting YA Victorian Paranormal Mystery!

Raven's Sight is the first book in this new Young Adult Victorian Paranormal Mystery series. The premise of this historical novel is highly intriguing & the narrative kept me captivated. An absolutely stunning YA novel that will capture your heart. Brimming with a dark secret & mysteries that Raven must unravel to not become the next victim. A dark & tragic gripping tale. I absolutely highly recommend listening to this YA novel as it is enchanting. I absolutely love everything about this book as Raven's character is fabulous & will draw you in & keep you captivated until the end craving more.
Narrator does well with its pace & tone. Raven's voice was well vocalized. Narrator's British accent enhanced envisioning the mystery. However, voice interpretations of Emmett & Tom could use some work as they were a bit rough & took a bit a way from the tale.
I hope the second book becomes available in audio soon.

Spookily enjoyable

I really enjoyed listening to this story. It's a great mix of spooky and mystery. I really enjoyed following Raven as she tires to solve the mystery of the missing children. Tom and Emmett helped make the story more enjoyable. It was really great even up to the very last word. I really enjoyed listening to Jodie and the accent she gave to the book. Her voice helped the story be even spookier than it could be on its own.

Fantastic!

This was the first victorian paranormal I've ever listened to or read and I really loved the combination. I also loved Jodi Hollie-Anne's accent. It gave the story authenticity.

The setting for this story is a small Brittish town and Raven is an orphan. She lives with her aunt who doesn't allow her to leave the house and grounds. It seems cruel but later is exposed why she isn't permitted to leave. Raven has a gift that allows her to see spirits but that's not all.

The story has an easy, sequential flow. The author's style put me into Raven's life and mind with simple phrases and quirks unique to her writing. The story is short but was perfect for my last trip.

Aboslutely fell in love with this story!

Fun story

I liked the writing and the characters. It is a fun ghost mystery. A lot of the plot was predictable but it didn’t take away from it too much. The second half was rushed and over explained everything. That being said, I still give it a solid 4 stars.

Great read.

Do you believe in the sight

This is a great story . R.L Weeks takes a story and gives it life. She writes many layers into the book . The author takes a subject and makes the listener hooked on the story .
Heroine is Raven. Raven is gifted but she has to keep it hidden . She lives in a small English town during the Victorian Age .
Raven secret is revealed when her father passes . You ask what her secret is?

Years later while in London she notices that there are murders happening. Not only that she sees that there might be a serial killer involved .
Does her gift , her sight lead her to the right path

The narrator Jodie was great. Her voice is strong , clear and she narrated the part great

LaGina

I read the book first before I did the audible and OMG what a difference it makes. For a review on the book you can find it under ebook. This was my first audible in this series that I was able to listen to and the narrator they picked couldnt have matched how i heard Rave's voice in my head when reading the book. This was so well done and I cant wait to listen to more from Raven.
