About this listen

Reasoned Resiliency: A Rational Devotional for First Responders is unique in that it combines a spiritual message with practical advice for a daily dose of uplift. Nondenominational and applicable to all spiritual philosophies, it probes the spiritual values of the listener and encourages them to grow in their resilience and wellness.

The authors are both senior mentors for Navigating Adversity (an internationally recognized program for improving resilience for first responders), and chaplains within that program.

There is a devotional for every day, because an uplift is an important part of working in a field that takes a piece of you each time you put on the uniform.

Great devotional for anyone in a high-stress occupation.

Interesting insight into how to deal with the issues first-responders face in their dangerous and often thankless professions. The narrator has a voice and style that is easy to listen to. Highly recommend.

Amazing Daily Hit of Positivity!

I know this is written for the public safety community, but as a loved one I have found this to be helpful for my understanding of their challenges while giving me a daily dose of positivity. We need all the optimism we can get and this is the kind of book that helps you build hope when it seems like everything around you is a mess. I love the audiobook reader's voice, too. Somehow he manages to be upbeat without being annoying and his voice is just the right amount of encouraging. Can't recommend enough!

Excellent for anyone in a helping profession!

Great daily devotional that could easily be rebranded for anyone in a helping profession! Courtemanche & Ruge have written a non-denominational daily devotional. Any individual who is looking for a way to refill their cup on a tight helping professional’s schedule, will find the brief daily practices easy to fit in your routine. Broken down into Thoughts to Ponder, The Reality, and The Hope each day help you understand the five pillars of resilience and give you short tasks to think on and do to refuel. When we are resilient we can continue to do the work we need to do! I am two months in and can’t wait to continue. I really look forward to my daily date with Reasoned Resiliency!
Narrated by Courtemanche, and I could listen to his calming voice all day long! He should narrate sleep stories. Anytime you can listen to a book narrated by Joe run, don’t walk and listen!
