About this listen

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author L.A. Cotton comes an enemies-to-lovers romance. Angst...drama...friendship...and football. Will you survive senior year?

Carrie-Anne Trombley has always been invisible. But behind her book-smart, snarky attitude is a girl desperate to know what it feels like to belong.

Bryan Hughes has always been Mr. Popular. But behind his goofball, jock exterior is a guy desperate to know what it feels like to be wanted.

It starts with a challenge; one last school project before graduation. He’s everything she hates to want. She’s everything he wants to hate. But there's no denying how much they get under each other's skin.

There’s just one problem...the end of high school is right around the corner. And their plans for the future didn't include falling in love.

Reckless Games is a novella set in the Rixon High series. It was previously published in the Hot Summer School Nights anthology and has since been expanded.

nice

this book did a great job of showing high school struggles. also brings about issues with parental effects on kids. maybe parents should listen to this. its about the small things and the suport we all need. it was nice to see Brian happy after he was hurt by paytons decisitions. look foward to finishing the series.

Ada Sinclair did superb narrating Carrie-Anne!

Aww, I was rooting for Bryan to get his hea and he got it and then some. Jay Alder was casted as a great narrator for Bryan. And Ada Sinclair did great with Carrie-Anne, her voice was perfect for the part. This one is shorter than the previous Rixon High books but it was sooo good nonetheless. Overall, this audiobook was great. Excellent story, excellent narrating and I finished it in one sitting!

Love😍

I am so glad that Brian got his story. He deserved it! What’s makes it even better is L A Cotton expanded her short story to a novella. I love this story. If your looking for a love story where your favorite character finally gets out of the friend zone, then this is your book. It pushes all the right buttons ;) My only draw back was the male voice just didn’t match what my brain thought Brian would sound like. Still, he did a great job depicting his character and female voice was spot on. Amazing!

Loved it.

Loved it. The narration was great. I couldn't put it down. Brian struggled with his feelings at first for Carrie-Ann. Once he came to terms with then he became a teddy bear. This book has drama and love . Highly recommend.

Bryan & Carrie-Anne

I was excited for a book for Bryan and Carrie Anne. They didn't have the easiest path to HEA but it was well earned. I would have liked a longer book only because I was enjoying them so much.

It was a quick listen with narrators who did a great job at becoming the characters.

Brian and CarrieAnn

This is such a good story!!!

Brian loves to torment CarrieAnn and does so continually… the girl he cared about chose someone else. His parents are absent and won’t even be there for his graduation.

CartieAnn is the one noons sees. She a little different, a lot reserved. She has few friends and has never even been kissed.

Both the them need someone who they can trust and depend on. Could it be they are each other’s “person”? Go read or listen and find out!!!

Short and sweet with a side of steam

Reckless Games is a wonderful addition to the Rixon High series.

After Peyton found her HEA with Xander in Tragic Lies, Bryan, my favorite goofball and absolute all star had to pick up the pieces and realign his heart. And who better to help him find his own happiness than the stubborn yet sweet outcast?
Turns out that maybe the goofball player with the big heart is the perfect counterpart for the untrusting outsider that just wants to be seen.

Narrators Ada Sinclair and Jay Alder do a wonderful job breathing life into these characters, wonderfully conveying the depth of their emotions and the mental growth they go through, as well as giving the characters their unique tone and voice.

5 stars and a metal leaf
