About this listen

Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he toils willingly, trusting that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children.

But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and lush wilds spread across the planet. Darrow—and Reds like him—are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.

Inspired by a longing for justice, and driven by the memory of lost love, Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the legendary Institute, a proving ground for the dominant Gold caste, where the next generation of humanity’s overlords struggle for power. He will be forced to compete for his life and the very future of civilization against the best and most brutal of Society’s ruling class. There, he will stop at nothing to bring down his enemies... even if it means he has to become one of them to do so.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Performed by Stewart Crank, John Kielty, Richard Rohan, Stephanie Németh-Parker, Jenna Sharpe, Kay Eluvian, Jon Vertullo, Ian Russell, Andrew James Spooner, Alejandro Ruiz, Andrew Colford, Bradley Foster Smith, Christopher Williams, Chris Stinson, Christopher Walker, Colleen Delany, Elizabeth Jernigan, Eric Messner, Ian Putnam, James Konicek, Joe Mallon, Joel David Santner, Julie-Ann Elliott, Karen Novak, Ken Jackson, Lucy Symons, Marni Penning, Martin Dickinson, Matthew Bassett, Matthew Pauli, Matthew Schleigh, Michael Glenn, Michael John Casey, Nanette Savard, Nazia Chaudhry, Nora Achrati, Shanta Parasuraman, Stephone Walker, Dylan Lynch, Yasmin Tuazon and Zeke Alton.

One of the greatest audiobooks I’ve ever heard

The voice acting was excellent truly bringing to life an elite story. Their haven’t been many stories that have immersed me the same way.

A continual stunner

Excellent performances and the dramatic adaptation cast really brings the fantastic Brown story to three dimensional, Technicolor vibrancy.

Fall in Love All Over Again

If you have always loved the series, you will not be disappointed! I adore Graphic Audio books, their production is always top tier, but this... this one is special. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that they'd been able to produce a rendition of this series, especially with the let down of not having an on-screen series come to life just yet. Of all the series that deserve it... anywho, I just fell in love with Red Rising all over again! Bravo with the casting too, especially Darrow, you guys seriously have such a talented roster of voice actors! It's always pleasant to hear a familiar voice from another series I love. Mad respect for your regulars.

In any case, I would recommend this to anyone that loves full cast audio books, this was truly a joy to listen to. Graphic Audio never ceases to amaze me really, but they even included Eo's song! Good heavens, it was beautiful... I bawled. haha Don't even blink. I hesitated because of the two parts, but it was totally worth it. I will probably listen to this a million times more in anticipation for the rest of them.

Red Rising part 1 and 2

Red rising, both part one and part to keep you guessing and wondering, how will this end throughout the entire storyline I kept wondering what the next catastrophe would be for our young hero Darrell. Even at the end of part two I anticipate more to come because the story is yet to be completed. Battles remain and enemies exist within the shadows is my guess and the reader will find the stories exceedingly exciting.
