About this listen

Dr. Zeev Neuwirth wrote Reframing Healthcare for leaders and organizations interested in understanding what the disrupters in healthcare are doing and, more to the point, for those who want to be the disrupters rather than the disrupted.

This audiobook is a step-by-step guide for leadership teams that are intent on improving healthcare at an accelerated pace. It’s written for healthcare organizations that wish to thrive in a customer-centric, community-oriented, value-based healthcare system. This audiobook provides an assessment of the market forces, mega-trends, and reframes that are transforming the healthcare market, and delivers a replicable and scalable roadmap for creating better healthcare.

Health care system dilemma solutions

Inspirational application of customer based health care delivery. I plan to take the information in this book to the hospital boardroom.

A valuable resource for med students and those early in their healthcare career

I wish every med student and healthcare professional was handed a copy of this book. The marketing mindset, emphasis on social determinants and roadmap in this book are explained perfectly by Dr. Neuwirth.

Each observation made in this book is followed with actionable solutions for clinical execs, providers and people who influence healthcare decisions in their community.

Must have book for everyone in healthcare

This book is a required reading if you’re involved in healthcare. I have been family physician since 1991, and this book provides insight to the biggest shift in medicine that has already begun.

For a very niche crowd, not for private practice.

This book is written as a consulting type marketing book for hospital CEOs and CEOs of multispecialty practices. great start but basically for hospital administration and not for the practicioners that can make changes. Great info, but more for information and not truly actionable for the individual practitioner, more of a future roadmap of medicine. But good to plan for the future that is coming!

Great content and resources

This is a very helpful book with some excellently researched resources. I wasn’t sure how well having the author read his own book would be. Sometimes that is bad and other times it’s good. In this case it was good.

Practice changing

Dr. Neuwirth provides an excellent summary of the healthcare delivery system, a map of the emerging markets and recommendations for the way forward. Now I have to buy the hard copy to take notes in the margins

Zeev, a Pioneer and a Humanist

Dr. Neuwirth’s Reframing Healthcare has been a foundational book for me. He is absolutely precise in his diagnosis of the disease found in the current healthcare delivery model. He is also very accurate in his “assessment and plan” on how to pull out of the tailspin. It is all about the customer, the patient. His roadmap is the answer. I encourage all to read it, but be prepared to be changed. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it!

Excellent framing of VBC for somebody new to the model

This was an excellent book in helping a non-medical professional understand how value-based care works. It was well written, and topics are well explained. I plan to re-read the book so that I can understand better the various examples that he shared. It was very impactful for me especially for the work I’m currently involved in.

Could’ve been 25 minutes or less

This is one of the most repetitive authors I’ve ever encountered. The narration is chalk full of mispronunciation and useless filler material. I took an introductory marketing course in college and learned everything this book has to say in a single class. I have experience in business and want to pivot into the healthcare industry, but this book seems more geared towards someone with healthcare experience who wants to transition into the corporate world (and knows nothing about business or management).

Random ideas. Wishful thinking book

The writer has passion for healthcare reform but his ideas are scattered. He seems to focus on the c-suite audience with a hint of elitism.
Narration is poor.
