A secret prince needs: A lost tourist to save.
Prince Cassander is on vacation from his overdeveloped sense of duty. While hiding out as simply "Cas" in the Rosavian capital, he rescues a gorgeous, distressed American tourist. Matty has no idea that Cas is second in line to the throne. And with only two weeks together to explore the sparks between them, he doesn’t need to ever find out.
New Yorker Matty Doyle is a fish out of water, taking care of his niece and mending his broken heart. When Cas rescues him, the handsome stranger coaxes Matty out of his shell and he throws caution to the wind. Nobody knows him here. Would it hurt to live a little for once?
But a prince can’t stay secret in his own country for long. Cas would give anything to protect Matty from reality, but how can this fantasy together continue when they belong in different worlds?
Welcome to the tiny European country of Rosavia, where roses ramble over alpine slopes and princes fall for the men of their dreams. Every Rosavia Royals book happens simultaneously, so books can be listened to on their own, or in any order...but keep an eye out for familiar faces around the palace!

Author HJ Welch gives the reader a low-angst Cinder(f)ella story. Cas and Matty are adorable as they navigate what they both think of as a vacation fling, but start to realize their feelings for each other go deeper than that. Can they get past Cas' initial deception and Matty's hesitation to grab their HEA?
Narration by Kieran Flitton is very good. He brings out the emotional impact of Welch's story.
I received a free review copy of this audiobook, at my reqauest, and agreed to post my voluntary opinion of it.
Recommended. It's a well-written, fluffy, smile-inducing romance.

I loved this book where Prince Cassander, second in line to the Throne and the ever responsible one, falls for a commoner, an American tourist, nonetheless. The story of how they become closer and closer and then their hopes for a future together, is a sweet and enchanting journey!
Matty and Cas are so freaking adorable!

MMy Thoughts and Review:
I feel like I've been waiting what feels like forever for the Rosavia Royals to be released to audio. While the part of my brain that makes me cute and quirky in my old lady dragon ways was a little freaked we (and yes, I just referred to myself in 3rd person - that was my royal side) were starting with book #2 in the series. My "normal" brain discovered however there was really no need to worry.
Welch, in their typical class and style, brought to life a contemporary romance full of heart and soul. As a prince in the Rosavian Royal Family, Prince Cassander is given a two-week vacation from his siblings and responsibilities as second in line to the throne. While Prince Cass is looking forward to a break, he never expects to meet and fall for a gorgeous man so hard and fast his heart may also be in jeopardy of a different kind of break.
Matty loves his little family. So, with his niece having the chance of a lifetime to compete in an archery competition, and his older sister unable to attend because she is undergoing chemo, taking his niece to the competition is a no-brainer for Matty. While in the beautiful place, known for its unique roses, through fate and lost luggage, Matty meets a very helpful and handsome Rosavian.
This was such a charming tale, and I loved the chemistry between Cass and Matty. When the two of them were in a scene together, the entire secondary cast, and landscape seemed to drop off. Even though there was an antagonist that you would love to scratch the eyes out of; even they didn't have the power to detract from the beauty you could feel in the blossoming love between the MCs.
The narrator, Kieran Flitton, was new to me and their voice was captivating. Capturing both Matty's American accent and Cass' Rosavian (a slight mix of posh British and Danish - IMO) along with all the secondary characters which included other Americans, women, children, etc. with no two voices sounding the same. A big... A HUGE part of the chemistry between Matty and his Prince was in the narrator's ability to channel them and bring them to life off-page. Because of my disability, and getting 90% of my book reading in via audiobooks, I am a bit of a narrator snob, but I am definitely going to be adding Flitton to my "Watch" 👀 list.

I really love listening to Kieran's voice and he's done all the audios for the series so far and does a great job, however, I'm not really a fan of the intimate scenes. They seem a litlle too campy for my liking.

Kieran Flitton just made it that much better though. His narration has been amazing throughout the series (this is the 3rd audiobook I've reviewed so far from the series.) As an American listener, I knew going in that I was going to be very picky about his American accent for Matty, but it was spot on. I love how Kieran is excellent with keeping everyone's voice correct, especially the characters who appear in multiple books.
Amazing!
