About this listen

I fell in love with a redheaded boy, a boy who was kind and good - until he wasn’t.

He broke my heart once, twice...I’ve lost count. Like a dark god, he haunts me. He smells like smoke and cinnamon, with danger seeping from every pore. He is my savior, my lover, exciting and addictive.

I should’ve seen it coming. Never trust a Disciple. You have to sell your soul to the devil to get one to love you. I would. I did.

My name is Dolores Dunghart, and I might have done the unforgivable. I don’t care if you judge me...I’ve judged myself.

But this is how we live. And this is our love story: Edge and Dolly forever.

I'm being cunt desensitized. I've never seen/heard the word used so often. I was really surprised by this story. Dolly needed to let go of his cheating by now especially when they were operating as a couple. Be upset when you're apart but if you take him back let it go already! I thought that the cheating was recent by how she treated him in the other two books. She acted as if she hated Edge. I truly didn't understand the bubble gum machine but I'm not going to listen again. I'm moving forward to the last book in the series. Or last book for now.
Either way good book. Not great but good. This is my least favorite so. I really enjoyed the humor. I wanted to cut a bitch when it came to her father and the club.
Troy Duran and Reagan West did a great job narrating and were completely appropriate for both characters.

So I have to preface this with the fact that this audiobook needed another audio proof. The post-production seemed non-existent with multiple phrases repeated throughout the book. At times it was distracting as it sounded like a broken record. However, I did enjoy the story even if it had a completely different vibe from books one and two.

Dolly and Edge have loved each other forever. This is a second-chance, friends-to-lovers, touch her and d*e, miscommunication, MC romance. The book spans 25 years from when they were six years old to the present day at thirty-one. A lot of the book is spent in the past giving us the backstory. We definitely see the character development in both Dolly and Edge over the years and you see why Edge develops this hardened exterior and Dolly puts up barriers to protect herself.

When we finally get to the present, it picks up where book two finished, with them at the hospital after Dolly st@bbed Edge. To say Edge is possessive is an understatement. This book is full of touch her and d*e vibes. She is, like the old ladies in the club are to their men, most definitely Property of Edge.

I wasn’t mad keen on the female narrator but that’s probably just a me thing. I found her tone a little robotic but as always Troy carried us through this one. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he is perfect for MC romances. He delivers those filthy lines with ease and I was here for the delicious spice.

So to sum up, it wasn’t my favourite of the series but it was nice to get the backstory to understand the present day for Dolly and Edge. And ultimately, love conquered all.

Great story, needs more post production though.

Okay I loved learning about Dolly and Edges past, their childhood and friendship and growing up together. It helps you understand their relationship explained in the first two books. But the timeline kept jumping around to different ages I couldn’t tell where they were in comparison to the first two books. So it got a little confusing not knowing if the things that happened in the first two books had happened yet in this book. Still a good story and good series though.

Timeline was a little confusing

I wanted this book so bad. BUT, I agree with some of the other comments about post production and lines being repeated. Also the story seemed sectioned if that makes sense there wasn’t a story that connected them all besides their love which is beautiful. I do love a tortured love story.

This left me drunk in love with Dolly and Edge. Troy Duran and Reagan West made this book so enjoyable. Each book in this series reminds me why Cassandra Robbins is my go to for my MC fix. The narrating is nothing less than perfection for these characters. Dolly and Edge has the most tumultuous journey from all the books so far and I love how you see it all. The author doesn’t hold back and delivers a range of emotions. The performers enhanced the authors words and knocked it put off the park. I definitely recommend this one!!

Drunk in love with Dolly and edge!

I do really enjoyed this story even with the recording issues. I believe is one of the better story lines

Edge was a complete ass, but it was a good story. The recording wasn’t the final version because the male actor repeated his lines and cleared his throat etc.

Good story

I am hooked on this entire series, but Edge and Dolly are my favorites so far. Just so good. The heartache, the love, the SPICE. The narration is perfection. I will devour anything by Cassandra Robbins after this series.

Just amazing.

Edge and Dolly are a very unique couple. But love them! They have a unique story of their own. Can’t wait to read or listen to more of The Disciples.
