About this listen

This book almost didn’t see the light of day as government officials tried to bar its publication.

The inside story of the real President Trump, by his former attorney and personal advisor - the man who helped get him into the oval office

Once Donald Trump’s fiercest surrogate, closest confidant, and staunchest defender, Michael Cohen knows where the skeletons are buried.

This is the most devastating business and political horror story of the century. As Trump’s lawyer and “fixer”, Cohen not only witnessed firsthand but was also an active participant in the inner workings of Trump’s business empire, political campaign, and presidential administration.

This is a story that you have not read in newspapers, or on social media, or watched on television. These are accounts that only someone who worked for Trump around the clock for over a decade - not a few months or even a couple of years - could know. Cohen describes Trump’s racist rants against President Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, and Black and Hispanic people in general, as well as the cruelty, humiliation, and abuse he leveled at family and staff. Whether he’s exposing the fact that Trump engaged in tax fraud by inflating his wealth or electronic fraud by rigging an online survey, or outing Trump’s Neanderthal views towards women or his hush-money payments to clandestine lovers, Cohen pulls no punches.

He shows Trump’s relentless willingness to lie, exaggerate, mislead, or manipulate. Trump emerges as a man without a soul - a man who courts evangelicals and then trashes them, panders to the common man, but then rips off small business owners, a con man who will do or say absolutely anything to win, regardless of the cost to his family, his associates, or his country.

At the heart of Disloyal, we see how Cohen came under the spell of his charismatic "Boss" and, as a result, lost all sense of his moral compass.

The real "real" Donald Trump who permeates this audiobook - the racist, sexist, homophobic, lying, cheating president - will be discussed, written about, and analyzed for years to come.

It Takes One to Know One—Sleezballs

Michael Cohen admits to being no better than a gangster lawyer. His lack of scruples is exceeded only by his boss Donald Trump. Oddly, his admission to underhanded, dishonest, and twisted use if the law completely squares with Trump’s history, much of which can be verified by a minimal amount of research.
“Disloyal: A Memoir” is unnerving. It is clear Michael Cohen knows Trump’s worst character flaws. He was the most intimate of enablers.
He knows not only Trump’s darkness, but exposes early details of the Jerry Falwell, Jr. and wife Becky’s scandal.
Cohen reveals the he and all Trump “yes men” are capable of anything to please Donald Trump—until Trump turns on them.
It is a great read—believable and terrifying.

Excellent well presented and very relal

Loved it. Cohen's book and the clear detail he provided is outsndaing in proving the corruption being Donald J tRUMP a man who is dangerous to our country and must be stopped in Novemver by the strongest possible mandate of the people to remove his from office and to finally face the criminal actions he has done in his lifetime.

Excellent, but I wanted more

This was a very engaging read, thankfully. Listen, I mean. After partaking of 90% of the current political tell-alls, I was somewhat apprehensive that it was going to be redundant material. My main fear was boredom!

But I needn’t have worried because I stayed engaged clear through and even repeated some areas several times where I got distracted and wanted to make absolutely sure I didn’t miss anything.

I enjoyed the author’s general tone, which sounded sincere to me. He really stressed the extext to which his attachment to Trump, and by extension the unreasonable attachment of a lot of Trumpers, was of a cultish nature. People become emotionally enslaved to certain magnetic, manipulative personalities and basically give up any independent reasoning even when the relationship becomes very self destructive. It is not a conscious choice but a type of hypnosis (not a word he uses but the state he describes).

There were some laughs to be had, as well.

In sum, I was glad to hear from this player in the sordid, ongoing Trump saga. My one slight regret is that there wasn’t more outright dirt behind some of Trump’s doings - like how he managed to get away with so much. Law breaking, abuse of the office and our government resources etc to enrich himself, and such. But I completely understand why there wasn’t more of that, considering Cohen’s current status relative to Trump’s. Ultimately everything will no doubt come out.

Believable

It's written with great and raw honesty. Excellent job in every way. The rise and fall of a house of cards: which was built on the ultimate game of life.

Very Informative

I already knew DJT was a horror of a human being just by his moronic appearances on TV but this book shows his utter callousness to anyone including his family. Loyalty is not a word that should EVER be associated with him. Prison is too good for this man (used loosely) but I'd be happy to celebrate his incarceration and America's release from his greed, hatred and complete lack of human decency!

Must read or listen

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning about Donald Trump and his relationship with his former attorney.

It will be particular interesting for other attorneys and anyone else interested in the current political and legal landscape of American society.

Trump sucks

Although Cohen initially went along with Trump in the beginning he seems to have gotten his head out of his ass as we hope the millions of false patriot Trump fans will do. Pray that this scumbag Trump will be arrested and not allowed to run as again for president.

Sounds Truthful

I swore I wouldn’t buy this book because I didn’t want Trump’s enabler to profit from his lies. I couldn’t resist in the end and I am glad I listened; it was very enlightening.
