About this listen

A raccoon bite on the arm doesn’t seem that serious, but it soon becomes a life-or-death medical crisis for Melissa Loomis. After days of treatment for recurring infection, it becomes obvious her arm must be amputated. Dr. Ajay Seth, the son of immigrant parents from India and a local orthopedic surgeon in private practice, performs his first ever amputation procedure. In the months that follow, divine intervention, combined with Melissa’s determination and Dr. Seth’s disciplined commitment and dedication to his patients, brings about the opportunity for a medical breakthrough that will potentially transform the lives of amputees around the world.

Rewired is the inspirational, miraculous story of Dr. Seth’s revolutionary surgery that allows Melissa to not just move a prosthetic arm simply by thinking, but to actually feel with the prosthetic hand, just as she would with her natural arm. This resulted in what others have recognized as the world’s most advanced amputee, all done from Dr. Seth’s private practice in a community hospital, using a local staff, and with no special training or extensive research funding.

Infection, faith and inspired Medicine

A feral raccoon meets a trusting patient of a faith-filled physician. An amazing account of what could’ve been a tragedy turned to a miracle to change many lives. It was hard to put this listen down. Inspiring isn’t adequate. We just never know when science and Faith will change the world. Thank you Melissa and Dr. Seth.

Fantastic Book

What a gift, that Dr. Seth shared this amazing journey of his patient's unfortunate medical events coinciding with him being directed to perform a remarkable surgery to bring back a lost arm. It does seem like a miracle, that so many things lined up exactly as they did. And thankfully it happened like that and the real bionic woman was created.

Medical Story

Wasn't what I expected but was very interesting. He's not a great writer but he told the story simply and easily. The reader is a little too soft spoken, not exciting. The book was short. But overall I enjoyed it.

Amazing!!!

What a great story. If I were asked before reading this book whether I believe or not in miracles I would promptly say no. This book changed my mind.

I knew you were special Ajay Seth!!

Just like in the story lots of coincidences connecting me to this story. Ajay Seth performed my carpal tunnel surgery and removed a tumor from my thumb and did an excellent job...I didnt know about Rewired until a complete stranger told me about the great book she was reading! I couldnt believe the similarities between Melissa and myself....I own an animal sanctuary and run into raccoons too...I am Diabetic...with no children...but the real whopper was that when I was traveling once I ran into AJ...his wife and Melissa at the airport and I didnt even know how it all came together until this great story was revealed to me....THANK YOU AJAY AND MELISSA♡

An amazing medical story

I found this to be very heavy on god for a medical story. Very much enjoyed the medical aspects of the story, but the author kept returning to the intervention of god.
