About this listen

Baltimore Blaze tight end Brody Janik is a natural-born football star-his record-breaking athletic performance and his cover-boy good looks have turned him into a household name. But Brody is hiding a health condition that may cut his career short. PhD candidate Shannon "Shay" Everett works multiple jobs to put herself through school-including an unpaid internship with the Blaze training department. Strapped for cash, Shay answers the call of an NFL gossip blogger to uncover personal details about the Blaze players. Sneaking into the locker room one night, she gets entangled in Brody's secret - and swept up by his charm. He decides to keep her close-perhaps closer than either of them originally intended.

Critic reviews

"An unlikely romance that's hard to put down." ( RT Book Reviews)

The story was nice and definitely a keeper but the narration was pitiful. To me narration makes or breaks a book. Charles constant has a marvelous speaking voice but his women's voices especially were awful. The heroine Texas accent sounded like a man with a honky tonk Tennessee hill country accent. If I had not liked the book so much, I would have returned it due to the substandard narration.

First, there is a horrible "buzzing" in the background which makes it very annoying to listen to. Best if listening in a noisy area so it's not as noticeable.

the story line is not bad, but the bargain is not thre great. the voices/ accents were over done.

this would would have been better reading.

Production of the book is less than desirable.
