Same strong characters provided good dialog and an interesting story line. Missed the ancillary characters.

Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is short, just takes a couple of hours, but has a lot of action within that time. It's a good mystery story, too.

What did you like best about this story?

Eve and Roarke are both invested in the outcome of the mystery but on almost opposing sides on how to get results. They argue and get angry with each other but are respectful.

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

I always like Roarke's Irish brough the best but I though Detective Peabody was good, kind of comic relief.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had it's intense moments.

Any additional comments?

No.

Murder breaks up formal gala

Kinda short and to the point. Could have been a full novel but, Nice to see Eve open a little outside her scope.

Great story

Spring 2060, Eve discovers a satanic cult has performed a ritual in one of Roake's properties. Fast moving story as Eve and colleagues solve the brutal crime in room 606. Great read by Susan Erickson. J.D. Robb wrote an excellent storyline. ⚘⚘

I love this in death series and Susan Ericksen does them best She has the personalities down so well I wish I could meet the people, they seem so real- My husband was laughing at me because he saw me mowing the lawn, and smiling and laughing while listening through the ear phones. I wish Nora Roberts wrote faster, I'm always running out of books.

excellent- just as expected
