About this listen

After finding a treasure map belonging to the notorious pirate Captain Flint, Jim Hawkins, Squire Trelawney, and Doctor Livesey charter a ship and set sail for the Island of Treasure. However, they are unaware that most of the crew they have hired once sailed with Flint, including the man with one leg - Long John Silver - and they mean to take the ship and the treasure for themselves.

One of the all-time great adventure stories, Treasure Island comes to life in digital stereo, a full cast, thousands of sound effects, and an original music score.

Great Performance of a Timeless Classic!

Treasure Island is a wonderful story and it remains fresh and exciting even if you've read it a few times before. The Colonial Radio Players do an excellent job with multi-cast presentation, great sound effects and music. The voice casting is very good and the magic is all there, with Long John Silver, Jim Hawkins, Dr. Livesey and all the rest.

Robbins and company sail perfectly through

Zamparelli performs Long John excellent - once again the cast was matched up rather well - one of the first books I ever read - really like the flow of the story and the music as these are great companions to keep me going while traveling to and from classes and on lunch at work to escape the day - thanks again

Not Unabridged as Advertised on Amazon

I did not listen to it because I discovered that it was not indeed the "unabridged" version.

awful sound quality

wow. The sound mixing in this performance was truly awful. The music and background noises are so loud it wipes out the voices of the actors. It was unpleasant to listen to e for the entire performance and during a few portions I simply could not understand what was being said. Not worth listening to.
