No one writes an alpha quite like Anna Fury. She somehow finds the perfect balance between primal alpha and consent king. Stone is the perfect example! He is all big burly alpha, but also is supportive of his mate's position as mayor, honors her boundaries, AND stands 10 toes down for all of the Omegas in his pack--their safety and comfort are his biggest concerns.

I read this via audiobook and I gotta say, the narrators were honestly perfection. You can just picture a massive alpha when you hear Sebastian York's performance of Stone--I really couldn't have chosen a better narrator. Shammen McCune's performance of Erin was just as fitting. Her voice just feels authoritative and sultry, which is just what I imagine reading Erin's dialogue.

Overall, this was super suspenseful and hot!! Anna does not skimp on the steam! I found myself blushing several times--and I've read a ton of smut lol. Second chance is one of my favorite tropes, and it was executed so well in this story. The physical attraction never skipped a beat over the years, and the pining! Stone just couldn't replicate the way he felt about Erin with anyone else. They really had to learn how to approach the obstacles in their rekindled relationship head-on, and they were mature and communicative, which I appreciated.

I'm excited for Titan and Luna's story next, and I can't recommend picking up this series on audio enough!

This is an amazing story written by Anna Fury. Really enjoyed the characters & stroy line. Sebastián York & Shammen McCune did an amazing job narrating. I was hooked from the start. I can not wait to listen to the next story. Story includes Second chance romance, sexy shifters, pack war, and so much more. Highly recommend.

This book! Amazing! Anna Fury has the most creative mind and huge talent when it comes to her storytelling. I never read an omega verse that was set in a very realistic world way. I want an alpha of my very own to purr to me, bite my neck to calm and soothe me… In a small connect Canadian town is where Stone, the pack alpha, has his compound ranch where he’s in charge taking care of his Alphas and Omegas in his charge. In this second chance Romance Stone finds himself getting a second chance with Erin, his high school sweetheart . The one that got away two decades ago. To his own fault. She’s back in his life now and someone is terrorizing the town. I loved how the chemistry between Stone and Erin was just perfect. They complement each other. There was just so much action!! Fighting with rival packs, having fun with their own pack, and getting new members. I also love the DOMME Erin in the bedroom. I do not see pegging in most books. The scene was so hot and I loved it!
Sebastian York and Shammen McCune narrate this beautifully. Sebastian has a lot of characters to handle. Around 11? I could tell who he was playing, he just was that good. His growly alpha barks will send shivers up your spine and make you tingle and all the right places. Shammen is new to me, and I absolutely loved her! Her tone was just so soothing playing Erin, but commands attention when needed. She played several other side characters, and was pretty amazing too. I’m looking forward to listening to her in the future.
I can’t wait for Titans book! He’s one kinky BDSM MF, and I’m all here for it.
P.S. I loved finding out what rockhard reject meant. That was an awesome touch Anna. HaHa!

I absolutely loved this audio. I really felt like the Narration fit how I visualized how the characters sounded.

This is dual POV and both narrators do a great job with voice changes for all the different characters.

While I adored the romance I think the pack dynamics were my absolute favorite part of this book. Seeing how people come together to find support and love each other platonically but still have their own romantic relationships. I can’t wait to see where Anna goes with this series. I throughly enjoyed this audio.

I was so excited to see that Stone and Erin got their own book! After so many rejections, it was way past time Stone got what he wanted. Erin was absolutely amazing and may be my favorite AF heroine to date.

Im a sucker for anything Sebastian York but I feel that he and Shammen McCune were both perfect for this story.

As for heat... There is plenty. Some of which I never saw coming.

Loved the tee up for the next installment! Can't wait to dive into that one as well.

Rock Hard Reject by Anna Fury is a dystopian shifter romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sebastian York and Shammen McCune. This is the first book in the Northern Rejects series.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Stone and Erin. It was messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Heartless Heathen so I can get Titan & Luna's story.

Sebastian and Shammen did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dystopian romance, shifter romance, omegaverse romance, or romantic suspense.

It is a different story line for alpha and omegas origin. It had no huge conflict, the spicy times was mostly glossed over and not the focus of the story.

So I made it about 3.5 hours before I gave up and requested a refund. The story had so many sub-plots and missing background that it makes no sense. They dated, he cheated, they both married others, His left him, her husband cheats wants a divorce. So now she is back with the ML with no thought about their history or the fact HE CHEATED
