About this listen

Loving in fast forward....

Love on the fast track has been the definition of Harper and Deacon McCoy's relationship. In between studio sessions with Deacon's band, Oblivion, and building a new clientele for Harper's catering business, the newlyweds haven't had time to sleep, let alone have a honeymoon.

Deacon convinces Harper that they need a week alone together before her business, as well as a new album and tour, swallows them whole. Since Texas has always held special meaning for them, they head to Galveston to recharge and remember what it's like to just be a couple.

A beachfront cottage, hours of alone time, and plenty of skin on skin action is just what the rock star ordered - Until the future once again comes much quicker than they expected, threatening to crumble not only their perfect honeymoon but also their brand new marriage.

Surprise honeymoon

So the honeymoon was planned but what happened was. I totally loved this book. It shows what happens when the couple rides off into the sunset. Life doesn’t end and things happen that we don’t expect. The emotions were high through this all and the narrators hit the nail on the head.

Great Novella to Book 1

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I thought the story was great, however, and although I love sex, there was just a little too much in this book. I could have done without so much. It seemed to take up more than half the book, in my opinion. I prefer more story. I expected the waitress to have more story time. Looking forward to the next book in this series. The narrators, as always, did an excellent job with the characters and their personalities.

**SWOON**

What a crazy life they lead! Deacon and Harper are definitely a duo that is meant to be! They might not know it yet though, or do they and they just cant handle the truth!
Kai brings Harper to life and lets you feel all the different emotions running through her.
Wen is able to get Deacon to be the bad boy in one breath and the SWOON worthy man in the next!

What would you do???

Would you consider the audio edition of Rock, Rattle and Roll to be better than the print version?

As I have yet to read the actual print version of this book, I'm unable to honestly answer this question, I will say I love what Kai & Wen bring to the listening experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is such a hard question to answer, it's like asking a parent who their favourite child is.... I do LOVE Deacan, Harper, Jazz... please don't ask why.

What about Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s performance did you like?

What don't Kai & Wen bring to the performance?? I'm ADDICTED to their narractions!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene by the pier, in the dead of night, when the secret/ new is finally discussed, then the next few scenes after. Such a rollercoaster of emotions!!

Any additional comments?

I loved everything about this book, from the thought put in by the authors Taryn & Cari, to the performance of Kai & Wen, which made the job of listening more enjoyable. I CAN'T (wish I could underline words on here) WAIT to listen to the next book in the series.

more Deacon and Haley

Deacon and Haley have a much more eventful honeymoon than they ever expected. This is well done and in keeping with the world of Lost in Oblivion.
Kennicott and Ross do a very decent job of narration. Her ability to project the emotions and characters make up for her mispronunciations.
Years later it’s still one of the better written rock star romances.

Honeymooners Out Of Sync

If you could sum up Rock, Rattle and Roll in three words, what would they be?

Rocking Chicklit Romancefest

What other book might you compare Rock, Rattle and Roll to and why?

It is like an amazeballs epilogue to Rocked! Harper and Deacon are still getting to know each other and learning to love in a healthy way. It was a perfect bridge for Rocked and Twisted!

Which scene was your favorite?

Telling the band the news! It was hilarious :)

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Rocked Squared

Any additional comments?

This series must be listened to (or read) in order. The first book is Rocked. This is the second book. I can't wait to read Twisted!

Harper has been out of sorts... Frayed and frazzled going without sleep or even alone time with Deacon. A new contract and a new album for the band will do that... Add in her new catering company Savory And Sweet and time becomes your enemy! Fortunately they both have some time off so they are going on their much anticipated Honeymoon FINALLY. Will they be able to set aside their burgeoning careers and actually take the time off? Will they be able to keep the promise and leave all work behind focusing only on them? Why is she so out of sorts?

Deacon decided to spring Harper from her last gig early... Partly because her frazzeled assistant Annie begged him to... Mostly because he has missed her and cannot wait to get her all to himself for an uninterrupted week! Theh have barely had time for each other lately and he is feeling the strain. Will their Honeymoon be as magical as he hopes? Or will their pressing career concearns make them distracted, antsy and miserable? What has been wrobg with Harper lately? Is it just lack of sleep and increased stress? Or is it something more... Someting worse? Are they doomed?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy contemporary rockstar romances with unconventional adopted families, self depreciating humor and lots of drama to go along with all the steamy love scenes :)

Rock Rattle& ROLL

Whirlwind. Great story, and narration. Kudos for touching on some very volitul opinions. Most authors would not have had the nerves to write about. Looking forward to the next book.

Excellent narration...

This is audio book 1.5, a novella in this series. It is a continuing story of music and love. in this book, a marriage and a surprise. This is a fun series to listen too and the cover of this book looks exactly as I picture the characters to look as I listen to the narrations.

The author, Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn did a good job on this story. It is well written, believable and even has a good plot. Definitely well worth listening too! The narrators, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott delivery another excellent story to us with their spot on multiple voices. They are narrating in real time (meaning, they are sitting side by side narrating), which is a real treat. I wish all dual narrations came this way!

Lots of hot and steamy sex! Wow! I liked the story but did not care for Harper as much in this story. Narrators were excellent!!
