About this listen

One rainy day in Seattle, young software tycoon Micah Taylor receives a cryptic, 25-year-old letter from a great uncle he never knew. It claims a home awaits him on the Oregon coast that will turn his world inside out. Suspecting a prank, Micah arrives at Cannon Beach to discover a stunning, brand-new, 9,000-square-foot house. When bizarre things start happening there, locals tell cynical Micah the place is “spiritual”. But he will slowly discover the home isn’t just spiritual; it’s a physical manifestation of his soul.

The Best

I didn't like...I loved this book. I didn't want to stop & I couldn't wait to get back to it when I had other things I had to do. The one thing I don't agree with is when Mica told satin that he binds him I the name of Jesus. I was taught that binding & loosing was referring to discipline. That even the archangel Michael didn't tackle satan. He called on God to rebuke him. That being said I can't wait to read more of this authors' books.

Faith Novel... You'll need your imagination.

I enjoyed this book, some parts seemed a little too perfect, but none the less it was inspirational and encouraging for those who walk by Faith. It reminded of the Shack a little. It was recommended to me, I liked it and I recommend it to you if you enjoy books about faith and have a little imagination.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, recommend it, and will consider other works by James Rubart. I did figure out who the enemy was and who was there to help Micah early on, but I wasn't sure until the end because there were just enough clues. I appreciated the way the demonic forces used scripture to confuse Micah similar to the way Satan used scripture when he tempted Christ. I personally found the changing realities to be a little distracting and I'm not sure how much they added to the story, but I did really like the movie references by Rick and the way all of the details were wrapped up in the end.

Good story, needs better reader

I really enjoyed the story. It was a hopeful love story. However, the author's voice as the reader did diminish a fair bit of my listening pleasure.

Mixed feelings about Rooms

I did enjoy this book, but not everything about it. The author took a Long time telling the story. I enjoy books with a Christian theme, but felt some of the book was too far "out there".

The promise of hope

If you are looking for healing this is a great story. God's hopes and promises are spewed throughout this book. After just having emergency aortic dissection surgery , this book was exactly what I needed to hear. Hours before the surgery I was told I would not survive. I truly do believe in angels . And now I believe in divine hope.

Excellent read for Christians.

The story was very good...similar in theme to the Nicholas Cage movie, "The Family Man". The lead character changed his mind a few too many times for me, but I understand how it played into the changes in his life. Will definitely read more by Mr. Rubart!
