Publisher's summary

A Mafia romance about best friends turned enemies by Rachel Van Dyken, the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Eagle Elite series.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend....

I never thought my father would ask this of me, to become the second generation at Eagle Elite University, to rule with an iron fist, and to take care of anyone who gets in our way. But ever since the incident - ever since him - there's been a war in our little clique. After all, a house divided cannot stand.

He's the problem, not me. He used to kiss me like I was his oxygen. Now he looks at me like I'm his poison. But we both drank it, again and again, never believing there would be a day when our love would start a war. And our friendship would shatter into a million pieces. Then again, the worst thing you could do in the Mafia is hang on to hope that your life will be normal.

The second worst thing? Fall in love with your best friend. Enemy. And heir to the Nicolasi throne.

Contains mature themes.

Please consider re-recording with a different actress.

Jillian, while I’m sure is a lovely women, really did not do the book justice. I couldn’t even get through the first chapter of Royal Bully before I decided on returning the audiobook . She dragged every word and there was zero emotion behind the delivery. I really do hope they re-record this book because it’s amazing and deserves an equally amazing delivery.

Good story, not so great narration

There were some things that drove me crazy with the narration... Jillian Macie actually says the word "sigh" instead of just sighing! No one actually says the word in real life so why would she say it while narrating?! It happened multiple times and then she also says "ugg" for the word "ugh" instead of saying it how it should be said, like a scoff! These drove me crazy and distracted me from the actual story. I also felt like Alex sounded too surfer boyish to be narrating an east coast mob boss' son.

5 families - next generation

Great introduction to the next generation. Royal Bully is a captivating backstory for Ash’s book — Destructive King. I really enjoyed getting to see the Eagle Elite crew in their element years later too. The storyline is so well written.

Royal Princess— Serena and Junior’s story. A thrilling mafia romance that is filled with passion, heart, humor, and suspense. The two eldest of the next generation have an unbreakable bond that can’t be torn apart. Forbidden to be together they can’t resist what the heart wants. A well- written storyline that had me spellbound from start to finish!
The narration has a lower score due to how the narrators portrayed the characters was not what I envisioned for the characters. It was hard to listen to for me and I almost didn’t finish. I’m glad I kept listening though. Once the storyline got to the intense and emotional scenes, they shined and I really liked how they portrayed the characters. Would listen again.

i normally don't like so much humor!

I normally like more drama intense romance mafia books, but I gave this a chance. I tried to get passed the humor and the sarcasms, I still enjoyed it was good overall!

LOVED THIS!!

#1 - This didn't waste any time thrusting 😏 you deep 🤭 into the mafia life. Hot! So hot! Too short, maybe the prequel of the series 🤷‍♀️
#2 - Different couple, same family. This is the summary story. Enemies/exes to lovers. Oh my heart! 💔😭 I need more!!

Worthless. Don't Waste Your Time

The story, what little there is to it, is painfully dragged out for no discernable reason. The female voice actor is HORRENDOUS. She ruined what little there was to like about this story.
