The female narrator is too clipped/precise

The story line is intriguing. The characters are realistic and young adults. Not a book for readers over 40 as technology is realistically portrayed in the characters life. The cellphone messages portrayal stretches the length of the book but cuts too shortly the realistic time narratives and in between of plots. The female lead portrayed by the narrators readings are precise to the point of irritation. Don’t know why this book is not labeled YA Romance. Irritating dancing around erotic situations, hope the final culmination is worth the build up.

story is good

I would have liked to finish the book at one time and not have to wait for a second round of books to be written to finish the story little frustrating but overall very good book now on to book 2

Great Story Female performance was Terrible

I struggled to finish this story. The story itself is what kept me going and the Male performance was great but the females performance was absolutely awful. I want to read book 2 to continue the story but I'm not going to be able to listen to it.

The voices

The plot sounds good but they way the female was talking like it was a slam poetry session made me stop listening.

Love the shifters

I really enjoyed book one of this trilogy. While it started off a little slow, the storyline peaked my interest enough to keep listening, and I’m glad I did! I blew through this book in one day and can’t wait to start on the next one!

Good start to a shifter RH

This first book was a pretty good start to a RH series. No steam but we get the growing bond of the group. I wish we had more answers to what’s going on and more backstory. Hopefully the 2nd book will shed more light on what’s going on.

not a fan of how the domestic abuse plot was done

I think the author did a very poor job introducing the Male characters. she focuses more on the fact they are all mated and less on their different characteristics and because of that their personalities all blur together.

The female voice read end every phrase with this hard clipped sound. Noone naturally talks like that. Every sentence feels disjointed rather than flowing naturally together. Male reader was pretty good imo

All of that aside I think the idea for the story is really creative. I just think this story could have been better developed.

Wonderful

I saw this book on Audible Escape and was curious. I’m SOOOOO glad I invested the time. The story was captivating from the very beginning, the characters are well rounded in their development, and I was emotionally invested almost immediately. I just finished this first book less then two minutes ago and I’m glad I don’t have to wait for the next. I’ll be starting that one as soon as I complete this review. Thank you Ms. Dalambakis for creating such a rich new world for me to explore.

Royals

Loved this story! It was definetly more on the YA side but still loved the story and characters. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the triology.
Some of these reviewers are a bunch of haters. I loved both narrators. Laurel Schroeder does kind of pause and speak fast but I lowers the listening speed to .85 and it was perfect. Great narration.
