The female narrator is too clipped/precise

The story line is intriguing. The characters are realistic and young adults. Not a book for readers over 40 as technology is realistically portrayed in the characters life. The cellphone messages portrayal stretches the length of the book but cuts too shortly the realistic time narratives and in between of plots. The female lead portrayed by the narrators readings are precise to the point of irritation. Don’t know why this book is not labeled YA Romance. Irritating dancing around erotic situations, hope the final culmination is worth the build up.

story is good

I would have liked to finish the book at one time and not have to wait for a second round of books to be written to finish the story little frustrating but overall very good book now on to book 2

Great Story Female performance was Terrible

I struggled to finish this story. The story itself is what kept me going and the Male performance was great but the females performance was absolutely awful. I want to read book 2 to continue the story but I'm not going to be able to listen to it.

The voices

The plot sounds good but they way the female was talking like it was a slam poetry session made me stop listening.

Love the shifters

I really enjoyed book one of this trilogy. While it started off a little slow, the storyline peaked my interest enough to keep listening, and I’m glad I did! I blew through this book in one day and can’t wait to start on the next one!

Good start to a shifter RH

This first book was a pretty good start to a RH series. No steam but we get the growing bond of the group. I wish we had more answers to what’s going on and more backstory. Hopefully the 2nd book will shed more light on what’s going on.

Great story, until the narrator started saying words weird.

Not sure what's the deal with the weird pronunciation of words, words like night, caught, that...have the ending of ich at the end. It's a bit off putting, but other than that great book.

I wanted so bad to get through this...

unfortunately I can't get through the female narrator, its painful to listen to for me. So sad this book seemed interesting. I'll have to read it myself.

Slow and anticlimactic

The female narrator's vocal cadence made getting through this book rather difficult. The story had potential, but the character interactions and some situations were so cookie cutter the book doesn't really stand out in the sea of YA books in this genre. I'm not sure if I'm motivated enough to continue with the series, which is frustrating to say the least, I hate starting a book and not finishing it completely.

Review of Royals

If this is the first of a series, it is a winner first book. If it is not it is still a winner because this author is fantastic! I was caught up in the story as it came back full circle. I also liked knowing what happened to the shifters in that two Century gap in time since the last known Royals death. I am looking forward to more, especially with the same narrators. Great match, great performances!
